Have you been doing missionary work then Stan? I’m pretty sure that is what The Other R in Houston is doing!

Sorry mate, I heard that one in Only Fools when the prosecution tells Uncle Albert that being stationed on the Isle of Wight during the war was "hardly overseas".

He responds with "You try walking it". Very funny!

That game really made a big impression, at least on my highly unscientific sample of work colleagues, hotel and restaurant workers and fellow boozers perched at the bar. It will do our profile no harm at all.....would have been better if we'd won of course, but I'll leave that debate to the paranoia central thread.
Now I have 3 weeks in the UK, and no footy to watch!

Don't do Rugby, Swords, more of a horse racing guy.
I'll watch it on Ceefax, perhaps.
As I'm here, is there gonna be an Irish meet up or what?

    Thanks again.

Swords has given me permission to make this as long as is necessary. He may yet regret that rather rash statement.

As an aside my friend, what you have sent me really deserve to be read by everyone in its entirety, it is fantastic. You really should try to find time to do some writing of your own.

Once I’ve posted my piece up, and with the original authors permissions, I would like to add on some of the PMs I’ve received, there has been some fantastic stuff. Some are beautifully written, some very passionate, others are great recollections of a fantastic day. As I’m sure that Brixton will confirm, I’ve always said that we have some great hidden talent on this forum, now I have the proof.
