Why has no **** mentioned ELO yet?, tripe if ever there were. Makes groups like Queen almost tolerable.
Cos I don't think they really get that much critical acclaim these days. I have a special dislike for the Verve - always have - even before the "the" appeared before their names. Derivitave baws Liked by ****s in beanie hats that find it incapable of liking anything which doesn't fit into a 4/4 or 3/4 beat. The Drugs Don't Work (which I think was originally a B side before they re-released it) is an anti-masterpiece of the same basic chords an 8 yr old would use with the re-mastered strings put exactly where a 15 yr old girl would think they should be. It's the single worst song ever written
I have heard of the Verve, but probably not heard any of their dirge, to me music died in the early to mid nineties. It's all been pish pretty much ever since.
