Well that rant for one thing. All I said is you were angry and you've given me an essay as to why you arent. Guess you MUST be pretty laid back then <ok>

Just paints the picture of an angry little man to me, tash.

  2. I agree with the people saying we're not playing great football, to an extent. We're continuing to play hoof ball at times to Shola and Best, but we have shown signs of creativity and quality. Cabaye has played some exquisite passes, most of which are part of a good move on goal.

Obertan and Jonas have had their good moments of individual quality and have also made some creative passes, and made chances.

We need to stop hoofing the ball up to Shola, and pass more, but it's silly to say our overall game has been poor. We've played some good football at times.

Dude, running back towards the RB slot does not count as "good tracking back" - you have to close players down, and make an active effort to win the ball back - haven't seen this from Obertan at all this season so far, but in fairness I did miss the Fulham game for my sis's wedding (what a good brother I am eh?). What annoyed me most at QPR is Obertan was losing the ball, and then letting the player who had just tackled him run past without making any effort to win it back - so frustrating to watch that.

Exactaly my point, we've played just better than average and scraped two good draws and if not for 1 piece of **** goalkeeping positioning it would have been 3 draws.

I'm over the moon with the position we've got ourselves in but to quote you Tash ''if you think our performances as individuals and as a team had been any better than 7.5, that statement is ****ing ridiculous.

There's certainly a lot of room for improvement, i'm sure it will come!

  5. Not exactly little mate, 6ft and 12 stone. <cool>

I apologize for offending anyone, but sometimes i don't get the negativity. We've played **** for some of our games, but we're getting points. I'd rather play **** and get a point, then dominate and get **** all.

An overall performance can be ****, but if you have the quality, you can get the points. It's comforting to know that even if we're ****e we have the quality to fall back on to get us the points.

Stoke have hardly played awesome, but do you think their fans care? No. Their defensive abilities have kept them clean sheets, apart from the ref not giving a pen to Liverpool.

It will take time for the team to gel properly now we've got a new bunch in, but in a way we are better than last season. Our team performances aren't as good as some of the ones last season, but we didn't have the quality last season, so we lost games we played well in.

We need to keep thinking positively.

  6. Obertan does do that, he even tackles at times. No he's not as good as Barton for tracking back, but he does try hard at winning balls in the air and has a decent success rate, and he does track back.

If in your opinion his ability to track back is poor then you're entitled to think that, but not that he's lazy, because he does try hard and covers ground.

Hey, I'm as positive as the next guy, just saying we could be playing a lot better. Wouldnt mind this league position come July though, however we do it!

    This

Obertan will often just let his man run past him without going back with him to close him down. He must learn to stick with his runner, but he seems content to watch.

  9. He didn't play a good defensive role in the QPR game, but IMO he did a job in defense in the Sun'lun and Fulham games. He tackles, challenges in the air and closes down.

The only thing we have to judge you by is your posts. Using nasty words and insulting other posters who disagree with you does make you appear angry.

Who knows, maybe you peace and love itself in the flesh. On the evidence we have to go by, angry seems a fair comment. If you don't want to be perceived as angry, calm donw a bit. If you do want to be perceived as angry, you shouldn't object ot Smudger's comment

I though Obertan was very good defensively in the Fulham game to be fair.

Few different ones for me. Colo player of the season so far. Both him and Taylor 9's but he is the one controlling a well oiled defence and has taken the captaincy well. Awesome. Krul would be an 8 for me. Very good. Tiote would be a 5 for me, just been awful and has cost us more possession than any player. Cabaye a 6.5. Not done a lot but I like his attitude and once Tiote finds form and frees him up a bit, he'll get better. Obertan 7.5!? Can't understand that at all to be honest. Even allowing for him being a newbie, he hasn't done much. He'd be a 6 tops for me. I still think he's a good signing. Best would be a 7. Done ok for me. Jonas would be an 8. A lot will disagree with such a lofty rating but I look at his protection of Raylor. That for me is what a team is all about. Ameobi would be a 2. I can't think of anything good to say so I'll leave it, because my mother always said, if you've got nothing nice to say, say nothing at all! Ba would be a 4. Looked worse than I thought. I didn't rate his West Ham form that highly despite people constantly posting impressive goals to game stats. As always I prefer to udge them on the field rather than on paper. However I did think he would be useful as back up, and still think he can be. Too early to write him off completely.

I would have rated Tiote poorly so far - but I've just seen him in the centre of town on my lunch break and his mere presence has scrambled my brains and I now give him 10/10

Not a great start in my opinion, despite the points we've amassed so far. We've started every game slowly at best and we're extremely lucky qpr couldn't finish on monday, we didn't earm that point through good defending at all, we were gifted it by qpr's total inability to take their chances. To give simpson a 6 and taylor a 7 because he scored a couple of free kicks is quite frankly ridiculous, taylor has been the week link at the back every game so far and to say the win vs fulham was down to only krul and best would be laughable, if not for the fact you're actually serious, ditto for the request for player of the season so far nominations.
