I hope we don't sign Benteke but only because I want to see more signings out of leftfield like Kirchhoff. Big Jan was a player that had gone completely under my radar but he's arrived for next to nowt and been awesome. There's something about unearthing a gem that floats my boat. In keeping with my earlier comments though, I reckon one of the most important signings this summer will be the new Chief Executive
That could work. I'd like to see Khazri in the centre of the park but in an attacking role, I think he'd love it too. I reckon he'd get goals there.
Post of the month! The occasional splash of common sense is always welcome in Chaosland! If Ellis ****s up with the next Chief Exec, we can write off any potential growth we'll see from Sam's baseline on Sunday evening!
I've a feeling Sam will go back in for Ayew, he pretty much said as long as we stayed up he would iirc. Also think we'll end up going after some players at West Ham that Sam has worked with previously. I like that Valencia, although he's been pretty injury prone. Also, we'll sign Carroll, heard it here first
Not sure if anyone is arsed about this debate anymre, but just in case.... If the person making the **** decisions is no longer here, then hasn't Short already taken steps to correct the situation ? Poor decision making ? easy to say in hindsight, Short relies on other people to advise him on who to appoint. Everyone wanted him back so Short can't be blamed for this one either. As I said, if Short can be blamed for anything, it is appointing Di Canio. We agree on that one. O'Shea a modern footballer ? hardly . besides, in any workplace when the boss is a nutjob and nobody wants to work for them, then he will get sacked. Why would Short, a business man at heart, do it differently at at his club? anyway, **** it it's all in the past and it is next season that matters now. Hopefully Short now has a capable group of advisers around him (I'm including Sam with that) so we can move onwards and upwards. 2 or 3 players in of the same quality and impact of Kone, Khazri and Kirchoff and I reckon we could have a very good season imo.
Regarding Alvarez,I can't remember seeing a definite resolution to this case.Last thing I saw was just an Italian newspaper article claiming that Sunderland had to pay up. If it has been resolved can someone point me in the right direction please
