The Newcastle squad simply isn't good enough, simple as that. Defensively you're as weak as piss. McLaren spent £45m in the summer and he didn't address the obvious flaws in the squad. Without those gaps being plugged in the January window then this season won't end well for the toon imo. I rate him as a coach but he's always been best as a No.2 and not a manager for me.
He shouldn't shoulder all the blame though. It's the spineless ****e's that cross the white line and are drawing kings ransom salaries for putting in half arsed performances who deserve the fans real ire. Pardew, Carver and now McLaren have all taken the blame for their ineptitude. There must be one or two rotten eggs in that dressing room imo.

It's a combination of poor buys and bad attitude imo. You need players who give everything and play for the shirt, you've not got players who are doing that at present.
Exactly he won't buy quality he keeps buying crap because he's a cheap shop owner. Also it's worth pointing out the fact our club makes more money than 8th in the premiership so being 8th even if these number are accurate should be expected. I don't care if you agree or not, however just look at the cheap crap we employ, the cheap crappy club merchandise and the ****e wages we offer in premiership terms.
