Preston reckon Adam Barton is worth £5m, he's not, but there were several stories in the transfer window about Liverpool looking at a £2.5m bid.

    Not a one.

    They aren't good enough.

The closest would be Shaun St. Ledger but even then we should have plenty of cover at CB. I would hope our inevitable CB targets are better quality than he, like Gerrard and Ayala for example.

What about Ian Hulme from Preston. Not a bad striker in this division.

St ledger is an odd one, really. he had always been regarded as one of the best centre halves outside the premier league and i'm sure he was linked with somebody like everton a year or so ago. but this season he has been dreadful, think he was eventually dropped from the preston side and when he played for ireland he stood out as being a bit inept.

We all know how hard it is to get in the Ireland team (McShambles, Killer, Folan!!). St Ledger = no thanks

Ched Evans. Pretty decent in the air, could do well alongside Fryatt.

Ched Evans the only option for me.

If we get promoted though, and Wigan go down, Figueroa could be the answer to our left back issues, although I have a feeling NP would opt for someone younger.

The thing is all of you have looked at this mainly from the point of view would they start but players like Hume, Evans, Henderson, St Ledger and few others could do a job off the bench, our first team is ok and pretty good but our squad is not good enough people have got look at players who can come and do a job in the matchday squad not necessarily just the starting XI!

What about Mouyokolo he would be a good addition to defence from the likely teams coming down from the premier
