Doc I was being facetious we've got so many central midfielders of that ilk they could well have been cloned in the 'run of the mill, old pro, workmanlike and nothing fancy laboratory of central midfielders' Brown, Norris, Tonge, Green, Austin, Pugh when he's used there. I just think it would be ironic that we're all hoping for star quality, an exciting player to get the crowd off their seats, if we ended up with another clone. If we were to sign just one more player it would have to be a flair player for me, we haven't got too many of those, McCormack is about the closest we've got.

As I recall, the quote was he had 6 - 7 targets. Some have interpreted that as he wanted 6 - 7 new players. Does that mean he wanted to displace 6 or 7 players, or that given the chance he would bring in a specific 6 or 7? If some could not be brought in, does that mean he felt he had to find that many replacements or that if he could not get those specific players he may not be that interested in finding others. Who knows, right?
We were so awful last season, it was obvious to the dog in the street that we were half a dozen at least short of being any good. Warnock, the idiot, claimed we were two short and a few on here believed the same
We got rid of 6 '1st team' players and we got dropped down to 21 players which in my opinion is a bit low. We needed to 5 -7 players to have decent deph but we also needed to sign players that were a lot better than what Warnock brought in

yea its diabolical to be honest, aussies will say differently but it just doesn't compare. In fairness though it is improving steadily and has been since it started up again
Just read something on the other site, and its probably the best one yet. Kasper Gorkes!!!! great shouit and wasn't he chosen as the best centre Half in the league the season they got promoted. I heard him interviewed on 5-live and he came over as fun, inteligent, hard working, skillful and think he was also the captain under BMD.
When he was rumoured to be joining in January under Warnock everyone said he was **** He's captained two successive teams to promotion in this league, I'd definitely take him to partner Lees, with Pearce and Peltier as back up.
