Since dropping out of the CL places we have nearly gone into bankruptcy(ok mostly to do wit G&H), had 4 different managers and had our worst run in the League in living memory. Its clear that Clear that securing CL football is very important in terms of keeping a competitive team, but in that time we still have won a cup and been runners up. Since last winning the league over 20 years ago LFC have won 11 first team cups (manu have won 13 in the same period) that's one every 2 years. They will keep coming with LFC thats just the kind of club we are, getting knocked out early here or there is of no real relevance to our poor league form. We must now make the Consistent CL spots our primary target as its only from there we can develop a real title challenging team or we can splash around mid table and pick up a few cups here and there.
The clubs that consistently qualify for the CL have either one of the two longest serving managers in the Prem who have had more than enough time to get it right or have thrown their owners millions at it to achieve it, we sadly at this point don't fall into either category timmy.
