Gotta say not heard anything about this guy, but apparently it was rumoured he was a cert to sign for Ajax, looks like we have pinched him from them

Just looked on youtube, I know youtube, but Ive gotta say Im very, very, very impressed , I think we have found a little gem, very skilful, very clever, scores goals, creates goals with pace

I believe he will be a MASSIVE success

I hope not, would be bad form to be fair. No one likes to link to the tragedies but it did make me raise in eyebrow for a secnod with Oussama. Either way, he plays for us and I hope for the best from the lad.

Really can't be any worse than El Zhar right?........right?

I thought it was Fulham, which would be expected seeing as Martin Jol knows the Dutch league fairly well.

    No worries mate. <ok>

It seems similar to the Bouderouz player we were linked with, tricky, quick, eye for a pass and goal, but not worth much.

Coming in with low expectations on his shoulders will be a huge help, looks a great and tricky player in the vids. Hope he turns into a top player for us...Also love the fact no one had a clue we were after him :)

    This is very random!

By the way, his 77 overall in FIFA :emoticon-0109-kiss:

Glad we've made this signing though, looks like a good tricky winger, that's probably the end of the Tello discussion?

Think theres similarities between this lad and Dries Mertens who moved to PSV last summer from a smaller club and has been a massive success. Can see the lad being worth £10-15m + in 6 months

Next we're signing Adolf Smith,a Goalkeeper from Durham <whistle>

    I love the You Tube video, "Welcome to Ajax" {snigger}

Makes me want to write on every forum out there, asking why they never saw this one coming. Lad must have a half decent, or totally useless agent.

Welcome to Liverpool Ozzi, hope you score hat-tricks against both mancs :)

When do you guys ever start following the Eredivisie a bit more closely, seriously...
Over 10 players have crossed over this summer to the EPL

Back to Assaidi. He played one full season for SC Heerenveen. He is/was one of the most creative and fastest wingers in the Eredivisie. At Heerenveen he played with Bas Dost(7,5 million pounds to VFL Wolfsburg) and Luciano Narsingh(2,5 million pounds to PSV Eindhoven). Dost was the top goal scorer of the 2011-2012 partially due to Assaidi. He is very creative on the left wing but can play on the right wing aswell. He was unstoppable during the winter months and Heerenveen managed to get to second place in the table of the Eredivisie and was even considered a title contender at one point.

Oussama Assaidi's speed and technique are his best traits but he can be a selfish player. He can set up an attack on his own with a single action but in his eagerness and selfish nature he wants to end the attack aswell with a long distance strike on target. When you've got Carroll and Suarez up front i won't be surprised if that results in friction between players. His crossing is decent, passing is great and his focus during the game is incredible. Cosntantly looking for errors and trying to intercept the ball is what characterized his playing style last season. He scored some goals from inaccurate back passes and sloppy defending. One on one with a keeper he scores 9 out of 10 times, he's not the guy with weak nerves. He is an excellent forward in counter attacks.

His composure is good, his work rate is great but his mentallity is disturbing. He has a bad temper and he can be provoked. Heerenveen had a good season and i he didn't show much of it, but it's a well known fact out here that when he hits a bad streak of games and is out of form, he can be unstable and unpredictable.

All in all i'd say you guys have bought a very good winger, as long as Rodgers cn keep him in check. If he succeeds in that you can look forward to some great attacking football the coming season!<ok>

Never heard of him, but last year we paid £20million for Stewart Downing and he had a poor poor season.

This could turn out to be the opposite.

    I'm certainly intrigued.
