There is a lot of people out there that don't want to work so get signed off with back problems and get a new car every 3 years for their 'disability' and very rarely use the provided neck braces...sickening!

So we now know who the two contenders are for the PM face off. Jeremy Hunt and the other one that rhymes with him. Out of the two I never thought I would be typing the words "I am a Hunt supporter". I'm not normally one for blood sports. Just think though if Hunt does win and there is a General Election it will be Jeremy versus Jeremy in the fight for No.10. That'll confuse people.

I watched the BBC debate last week. What a farce. All talking across each other and the only one talking much sense being Mr MI6, Rory Stewart.

What I did learn is that I can see why Johnson has been afraid of journalists and cameras. His answers were weak (regarding his racist comments about Muslim women wearing the veil and botched statements about Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe) and at times either ignorant or deliberately untruthful (basing his whole solution for Brexit on GATT 24 provisions, which aren't available to us unless the EU agrees, which it won't).

    We are doomed.

His supporters can see a good step up the ladder, ministerial job on the horizon if they can get him in the PM job.....maybe some dubious voting to keep Michael Gove out of the top two happened yesterday....unprovable of course.

Ok he might of been a Brexiteer....but he did take awhile to decide which side he was supporting before the referendum......weighing up the possibilities I reckon and Michael Gove sussed him out in 2016 and scuttled his chances.

Johnson paid him back yesterday...by making sure he didn't beat Jeremy Hunt and get into the last two.

Rory Stewart did come over as a blast of fresh air and said it as he saw it.....and Tory MP's didn't feel safe with him around....he had to go.....he should start his own Political Party....out of step in the Tories.

The European Defence Union (EDU) is another huge plank in the structure coming shortly out of the European Union which marches steadily onwards to its end game - the complete unification of the continent in every aspect.

There can be no meaningful EDU without the transfer of command of the EU members' armed forces to a central EU control. Our own EU-Remainer fanatics know it but never mention it. Also off the discuss-list is the final unification of the currencies into the euro. At the moment this is optional - we opted out under John Major, remember ? But plans are well afoot to make it mandatory.

On the defence issue a phalanx of our top military and intelligence veterans are shell - shocked but have been told to shut up. Meanwhile the Tory Party is content to faff along , needing 30 days to consult 150,000 members (it can be done in a week) before we get a new prime minister.

The true kernel of the Let-Us-Leave argument is not the loss of our sovereignty that has been accomplished so far but what is coming next. That is why the bureaucrats-Remainers to a man - are so keen to work in secret.

By the by, our Trident (nuclear submarine) technology is shared with and co-owned by the Americans who will never agree to share it with the leaky EU.

    Frederick Forsyth...Daily Express...21-6-2019.

My thoughts....Federalism and military control from Brussels is the aim in the end......roll on freedom from the EU master-plan.

Odd that. The Dutch PM said on TV this morning that the concept of further federalism was dead and buried.

Well we'll have to wait and see....there are those who feel that total integration is the only way to secure the EU's future.....it will never be the European Economic Community (EEC) ever again....that's what we originally joined.

Nothing ever stays the same and everything evolves eventually. Armed Forces have been integrated for years and it's called NATO. Nuclear deterrent has been connected to the US for years. Joint armed intervention has been taking place with half of Europe for years also. This is nothing new. I would add that this was and would be the case if we were in the EU or not.

Sensible...you know that the EU's level of integration is far beyond anything that NATO delivers...it takes away a countries sovereignty and is controlled from Brussels....Federalism.

No it isn't and it hasn't been for donkey's years. The level of joint operations has been huge for a long time and there have been Commanders-in-Chief of operations from a few different countries controlling all of the thing. You are just hung up on this Sovereignty thing which means absolutely nothing whatsoever. No matter what happened we would always have the deciding control over whether our forces went in or stayed out and so would every other country. You really do have a problem with this johnnie foreigner thing don't you. If we ever do leave the EU I hope for your sake you never need a Care Home because there won't be anyone working in them thanks to all those foreigners being got rid of.

You can't just cast aside Sovereignty as meaning absolutely nothing.

    Definition...
Sovereignty is the full right and power of a governing body over itself, without any interference from outside sources or bodies.

    Definition...
Federalism is a mode of government, consisting of a general government.. (Central or 'Federal' government) with regional governments.. States or Countries in a single political system.

    Definition...
The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)....or North Atlantic Alliance.....constitutes a system of collective defence, consisting of independent member States....who have agreed to mutual defence in response to an attack by any external party.....Member States have committed to reach or maintain defence spending of at least 2% of GDP by 2024.

The difference between Sovereignty and Federalism is.....that Sovereignty retains power to govern itself.......Federalism is governed from a central source (Brussels in this case) in a single political system.

This Johnnie Foreigner slur isn't warranted....my concern is the controlling of numbers to equal the requirement of employment levels that are needed to fulfil a full level of employment requirements.

Not to end up like Germany being flooded by over a million refugees/migrants (whatever the proper term is) in one year, becoming an uncontrollable flood of humanity that cannot be properly catered for....and in the end these refugees/migrants taking the law into their own hands...committing crime and treating women by their own male dominated cultures....and totally alienated from how western society behave.

Sorry plym but the johnnie foreigner slur as you put it is warranted and you continually demonstrate a racist undertone in what you post. So Germany has been overrun by these Muslim types and they are now controlling things with their culture being the dominant force??????????????? One word come to mind and that's bullshit.

Countries in Europe have long since almost stopped acting alone and you only have to look at the way operations have been conducted for a very long time. They are generally joint and the words Sovereignty and Federal are just that, words with little or no meaning anymore. It is almost impossible for any Country to act alone these days. Instead of being paranoid about being controlled by big brother Europe all the time try answering a question or two I've asked you a few times now but you have swerved conveniently. What were the terms of us leaving Europe you voted for when you went to the ballot box originally and what was in the traitorous deal that May negotiated with Europe once the vote was cast. I can answer it for you if you like in that you don't have a clue any more than I have and many millions of others. Reason being we have never ever been given any details or facts either before the vote or since. I'd bet at least half the MPs don't have a clue either. You voted blind on a keep the foreigners out ticket and very little else.

We were asked to answer Cameron's question....there was no other option...staying in or leaving.

But sensible....you've reverted back to the old remainers mantra.....vote leave + vote Farage = Racist....if life was only that simple....I apoligise for starting this up again.....it just frustrates me that the direction that certain EU leaders want to go will damage the sovereignty of countries by direct rule from Brussels. The EU is already getting frustrated because it is being held back by a 100% requirement of member state in decision making...and are moving towards majority decisions being taken.......I'm sorry it brings bad feelings.... and I am annoyed that Cameron immediately threw in the towel and avoided walking the plank for his selfish actions of thinking that he could shut up the right wing of his party.... by finally beating then with a referendum.....well he didn't win did he.

Brexit and populist rabble generally rousing are racist phenomena.

Now before you fly off the handle, I accept not every single Leave supporter is a racist but a significant proportion are and another big slice are what you might call unthinking racists - as you were when you casually said that the stewards at the Charlton play-off game had been ineffective because they weren't English. There too many ineffective English people out there to be taking that attitude.

The fact of the matter is we need foreign workers at the top end of the skills spectrum (scientists, doctors etc), in the middle (nurses, telephone engineers and Polish plumbers) and at the hard end (the fruit pickers and food processors). That being the case, it's bloody stupid to wreck the economy because 46% of the electorate were gulled into voting Leave by a crooked campaign financed by shady get-rich-quick individuals who won't be the ones to lose their jobs and homes.

This federalism thing is BS because there is now and always has been significant opposition to it in northern and central Europe. If and when it was put on the table, then that would have been the time to have a referendum on a substantive question, not to throw our whole future done the toilet just because Cameron got fed up with a few extremist Tory MPs who'd have been better off out in the wilderness with Farage in the first place.

I had written a reply to your comments notDistant....but having re-read your write up ....I decided that I was wasting my time and erased it....I will just have to accept that I'm a racist...because being a Leaver and a Brexit Party voter.... that equates to being racists in remainers eyes....sad state of affairs....no common ground is there....so lets stick to football....things should be about to kick off in the Lowe era this week.

It's got nothing to do with you being a Brexit voter plym it's got to do with the way you express things on foreign persons. Your last paragraph on the post I replied to for example. That sort of statement is both not accurate and is based on what you might have heard or read somewhere when somebody has been wanting to scare monger. You have a thing about foreigners coming over here and you cannot say you don't. I had a conversation with my in-laws recently when his missus had had a final operation to put her back together again following a serious operation for bowel cancer. He told me that the operation had cost upwards of £200k given all that was involved including a first Op which took 12 hours. His main concern however was that his wife was "the only English person on the ward" His assumption was that the rest had just got off the plane or boat and come straight to the hospital for their free operation. None of them had paid a penny towards the cost of the treatment to the UK. This was based on what he saw as a load of foreign looking people he didn't know from adam and knew nothing about. The fact that all or at least some of them could be 2nd, 3rd or even 4th generation born in the UK just passed him by. This from a person or a couple because she is as bad, who lived in France for years. That is a foreign country they were foreigners in. Apparently that's acceptable for some reason and is not one ounce racist at all. My advice to you is don't believe all you read or hear. The last thing any country needs is the far right gaining any credibility and power. Farage would look right at home in the EDL if he didn't start a party with a different name but half his members originally came from that group after they were banned. No country can survive on it's own in this day and age and that is a fact.
