A friend at school said one day that he was going to see QPR play on Saturday and would I like to go with him, I was eleven years old at the time. Prior to that, I'd only game I'd been to was Fulham v. Everton [my brother is a Fulham fan] which was the first game of the season following England's world cup win in 1966. I traveled from my home in Paddington to Queen's Park to where my friend lived and we went by bus to Loftus Road. I payed 2/6 to stand in the school end, the one and only time I've been in there. It was January 1968 and the opponents that day were Preston, QPR won the game 2-0 Rod Marsh scored both goals and that was that, hooked!
