Our real problem

I said this before the season started but no one believed me.
Always said our weak area was central defence and def midfield.
You dont need someone like Drogba up front when the 3 midfield players behind him can run rings round defenders and grab 15 goals a season each.
Striker should not be our main concern, Torres and Eto'o will do fine for this season.
Luiz....sorry dont trust him, he is a Brazilian defender aka an attacker. JT is past it (still got something to offer mind, provided his partnered by someone younger and quicker), and Cahill just never cuts the mustard, gets skinned too often.
Our best CB is Ivan, he should always play CB with Azpo on the right.
And we need to sign a central defender in January.

Im all for Lewandowski (sp?) but I wont be too upset if we dont get him

You hit the nail on the head alright and not much has changed. I would love to see JM sort out a position for Luiz, cause he's just too damned good to let go.

Jose at the moment is THE problem. He is so obsessed with his personal image/ standing/ ego that he can't see the wood for the trees.
I am not suggesting anything other than it is he who needs to adapt, not 6 or 7 outstanding players.

I can go along with that! Love the bloke , but now's the time for a little bit of humility!

Can we keep buying our way though? Jose if he's as good as we hope he is, should be able to get a title challenging side out of these players (plus the various quality youngsters on loan).

If players like Luiz, Mata and Ramieres dont fit his system and Hazard (for instance) has gone backwards this year playing it, I'd question the system!

Our squad definitely has quality to challenge for title and call me crazy, but with Jose's experience he should have put day light between us and the challenging pack (Moanu & City) by now!!

Manny & David have excuses to be dire, but Jose doesn't and can't!


Jose is making things hard for himself and ofcourse us.
