Some of us have been chatting together for years now but we have never met and in reality know very little about each other. It's a strange situation in many ways and completely new in terms of human relations.
I think the worst aspect is the ones that just disappear. In at least 2 cases that I won't name I think we have lost them to the world quite literally.
I think there are advantages as well like the range of people we can talk with, many of whom we would never contact in the real world.
I don't know where this thread will lead if anywhere but I thought it might be worth putting up to see what people think.

, but we reveal much about ourselves through what we say here - more so than when we reveal what we look like, sound like or how we present ourselves when we are constrained by social etiquette or mores, which are so easily set aside through this medium.
