The manager I would like to see come in would be Alan Curbishley because he has a lot of Premier League experience or Steve Bruce, but I have realised looking on here that he is not a popular choice. Di Matteo would be another one if he wasn't offered the Chelsea job on a permanent basis, but I hope that the board take there time over it and make the right choice.

Got to say that, whilst I don't want Bruce, I don't think he'd be a disaster. He wouldn't be on my list, though.
Curbishley I've been a fan of, but he has one large question mark, why has he been unemployed for so long?

I'm another voice for Hughton or Robinson. Both have a feel of 'natural fit'.
 
I do think that they will go for someone who has had previous connections with the club, surely it would be good going after an unemployed manager because they will not have been connected with anyone and wouldn't have to worry about compensation. It looks like the club have received lots off applicants for the new managers role, but nothing much is expected of Norwich at the moment other than survival. It is not like Norwich are going to with the FA Cup or League Cup anytime soon, but they could have a little run in them competitions. Norwich would be an attractive proposition especially in the position which they finished last season.
 
i want a manager who will carry on our transfer ethos under lambert - signing the best of the lower leagues and making them shine - that isn't going to be a bruce, curbishley type - i doubt either have that much knowledge players outside the prem...

i like robinson, but i wonder if it would be too much of a jump at this stage...powell perhaps but same as robinson...

hughton i like, not just his ability but also the way he conducts himself...but for some reason it doesnt inspire me - he apparently got tiote and ben arfa, but not sure if he had any part in that...

poyet or holloway for me i think...i'd love matt phillips also, think he has a big future ahead of him...
 
For the love of God, no Bruce, Clark, Curbishley or Holloway. We want a manger with some experience but also up-and-coming and who will continue were Lambert left of and on the same model of players. None of those four fit the bill for whatever reason.

I think Holloway completely fits that bill.
 
Whilst I like the thought of going for a young manager, we shouldn't lose sight of the fact it only takes one bad season and all the hard work is undone.

Go with experience. Lambert was a gamble which worked, Clark or Robinson might not pay off. If we ended up in the Championship i'm not at all convinced we could bounce straight back.

Probably a bit negative, but I don't think we are in a position to take a punt on another youngun, could take us another ten years to get back up.

Hughton for me, all day long.
 
I don't think we'll need to run a poll on this one<laugh> It seems it's Hughton all the way for us.

As has been said, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if things are already well under way. It's obviously been brewing, and McNally doesn't strike you as the sort of person to hang around!
 
Get in there for Malky, go on you know you should, and you really want to. It`ll please the Malaysian Red Dragons, ooopps sorry ......... I mean the Bluebirds to think that they`re going to lose another manager, and a pretty good one at that.<cheers>
 
I don't really understand the overwhelming support for hughton. Fair enough he got newcastle promoted but that was completely expected, newcastle had spent millions on that team from their previous spell in the EPL, collocini, enrique and gutierrez to name a few. He has done a decent job with Birmingham but i think the playoffs was the least they expected!
