I agree with Joe that 8 or 9 points is very gettable. It's not stupid to suggest that we could get something tomorrow.
so, 5 is less than 6, but only 2 less than the 7 points that you'd like? I don't see getting 5 points as us being in real trouble. That would put us on 17 points going into January and that wouldn't be a disaster, especially considering we were nil from 12 points at the start.
Our rivals (who are regrettably those at the bottom not the top) seem to get valuable points when playing top sides when we've assumed they'll get nothing, so why can't we? We are a good side on our day and we are hitting form (says so on Sky so must be true), so let's go into the game with confidence.
Predicting any result with Gazzaniga in goal is a fruitless exercise imo. I actually back him - I am in favour of consistency, plus trust an ex-goalkeeper's eye for goalkeepers - but it makes exercises like this pretty pointless (no pun intended).
Six points is realistic. I would much rather we lost three and won two rather than drawing the majority of the games. We need to win more of our home games and just try and pick anything up away. I reckon 7 points is realistic and maybe slightly optimistic.
Problem is nothing is ever predictable. We will prob beat Liverpool then lose to Reading at home, you never know...
Joe - I was feeling confident too until I saw someone who seems to be regarded as reliable on their forums leaking the teamsheet. Their side made me gulp. No idea why.
