    It was Shearer that said, after his last 30 goal season, that no-one would ever score 30 goals in the top division again - and Kevin Phillips did...

    All I'm saying Badger is that this lad is being compared to a great player (unfortunately, even as a SAFC fan I have to admit he was quality) and how you can be insulted by this is beyond me. Besides - I don't think Wickham will manage his boyhood club to relegation <whistle>

    Seems the mackems were waiting and waiting for this signing to come along as they thought it would be one to ram down our throats. Expecting us to be green with envy and foaming at the mouth as to our club's failure to capture him. However I think the extent of the apathy we have greeted it with has surprised them and they are resorting to telling us why we should be jealous and as the apathy grows so does the angeer.
