Didn't our Egyptian chums say Fahti is more of an Elmo type player than central-midfield anyway? We have ten games left and why start picking somebody now who might be off the pace for most or all of them or out of his depth played in the wrong position? We are not going to be playing many teams from now until the end of the season that match Palaces quality, and the team is at fault last night or Bruces selection/choice of formation/tactics not individual players.

I think we will set up 3-5-2 but I don' think we will have the same defence & midfield in terms of personnel

AS SB has since siad we don't need to panic - the format has got us to where we are - third and one point of second ffs.. last thing we need is to make radical changes in the run in.. the two away performances at Bolton and Palarse are in the scheme of things baffling though. That said Bolton have good personnel and are now making a real fist of making the playoffs whilst Palarse have diving talented twats like Saha, goalscorers such as Murray & Phillips and an excellent home record.

How many points for second depends on Watfords ability to keep getting three points like Reading did last year.. should they slow down and drop points its all to play for still for us and Palarse. Lesta and certainly Boro seem also to be struggling to keep up, Lesta for auto and Boro for the top six - who would have thought that at the turn of the year?

Does the fact that Evans was dropped against Birmingham specificly so that the taller Meyler would be occupying the DM role to help the defence combat the aerial threat of Zigic not mean that when that threat no longer exists we should go back to the preferred lineup?

Nonsense. Until the 2nd penalty the game had 0-0 written all over it. It was when City opened up more that space was given to the likes of Zaha. He was running into a blind alley beforehand. I felt so sorry for Chester, Hobbs and Bruce jnr who had done very well to that point by keeping Zaha, Murray, Phillips very quiet.

Hindsight is great but Bruve should keep with the same formation. Burnley have nowhere near the quality that Palace have.

Oh come on...harsh though the second penalty was there were definitely warning signs before that, although we also looked dangerous. I just think that system doesn't seem to work when we are chasing the game away from home. So if we play it against burnley and we go one down, what then? Looks like we might not have much choice anyway, with Evans and cairney injured and Meyler one booking away from suspension, our midfield is looking short of options.

I disagree. The teams that we have steamrollered this season were generally the ones who did something special based on the opposition (Watford).

Ignoring the early weeks, and a trip to a foreign country where the game finished nine against twelve, the teams that have done well against us were the ones who did what they always do, very well.
