Flyer, yes. COL, no. The moment I came back the other day and apologised to COL he PM'd me saying no problem, case closed. (And I told Flyer that if he wants to come back in, I'll leave without a word being said. So he can't be scared of someone that wouldn't be here).

When Queens', COL's and my bans were up the other day I predicted we might not hear from COL for a long while because I figured he'd have felt he was punished unduly for a crime that he didn't commit. And he'd be right. No disrespect to the Mods but COL shouldn't have been banned because he did nothing wrong. Nor did Queens incidentally. But that's another argument.

I really hope COL rejoins soon because I can't think of a better footballing mind on the whole site. His tactical analysis is extremely astute and I've learned from his knowledge of the game. That and the fact that he's very passionate means the Board has lost something important in his absence. He's one of the few remaining stalwarts of the Board and has been here since its inception.

Yes its partly my fault he's not on here at the moment but I think his issue now is with the ban and not the sh*t that went on with me.

How very altruistic of you Swords. I admire your incongruity in reversing this one back against the 'bad ol' mods' and that we are somehow to blame for Col's absence.

I didn't contribute to that thread and neither did Roller, other than his initial OP. So I'm pretty confident that we're blameless there. We didn't incite you or Col and Queens to post what you did. They were all choices made by yourselves.

I really didn't want to revisit all of this again but feel the need to do so as you're challenging our decision making by way of our open forum. Why you decided to attack us and to post the above on Col's behalf I find quite strange, especially seeing that it was you who incited his responses on this thread......(http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/270858-OT-Commonwealth-Games?highlight=commonwealth+games) in the first place. Subsequently you and Col have now apologised and apparently moved on, case closed. Not for us mods though eh?

I'm sure Col will let me know what he thinks of it all when I next see him. Hopefully at todays game.

Sorry Nines, but in my mind you got your bans completely wrong.

you can believe what you like mate but firstly Col reacted to me and Swords provoking him. So if reacting is a crime then ok..but i think he was dealt with harshly

For Swords, he's admitted being in the wrong, so i guess the ban is fair.

For me:
Well, lets get this out in the open eh
1 week prior, Andy is banned for differing opinions (racism) and thats against house rules- fair enough
previously. posters have been banned for sexism, sexuality and even opinions on suicide..all duly noted
So when a posters starts to put down and discredit the disabled athletes competing in the Commonwealth games; who by the way have had to overcome more that all listed previously ( i include myself in that) the mods reaction is to ban a poster trying to defend those that cant defend themselves. then let the person who offended them continue to post without warning. That is in my mind completely wrong
It stinks of double standards and only enforces Swords view (which i agree with by the way) that actual meetings between posters do affect the on-line posts and board.
Dont get me wrong, i think its great that people with a common bond (to much immigration stuff) actually meet up and socialize BUT it has to affect the board. I have discussed this with numerous people and everyone feels the agrees.
Anyway, back to the point. I still stand by what i said in defense of the less able bodied athletes that competed and a forum that accepts criticism of these remarkable people is not really one i'm sure i want to be part of TBH
So I'll be f**ked if i ever apologize for my post and tha'ts why i left the debate. i left it so those that like to attention seek with a "look at me' mentality could continue.
Now if any of our mods can justify putting down of disabled athletes, then you knock yourselves out? Until then, im openly concerned that we allow such crap on our board.
like i said, until i see a justification then i stand by my reactions and posts.

Not the first time the same poster has done it and gone running to the mods either..oh well guess its one rule for one etc.. <ok>

My ball?

Who put down and discredited the disabled athletes? No one. I've seen no evidence of it. Put up the post on here that do so. If you're referring to who I think you are, then it's pretty poor form that in the non case you're defending regarding disabilities that you chose to call your opponent ''A ****ing ******!''

Really nines? find me one of his posts where he did anthing but put down the competition and those competing in it?
decidedly 3rd rate, nobody watches it, low standard, commonwealth outdated, athletes not up to Olympic standard etc......blah blah blah.
There were disabled athletes competing there...so YES..he was discrediting them and putting them down too.
i still stand by my comments, if you dont agree thats up to you, but in my book, putting down people with physical or mental disabilities is wrong
I thought you of all people on this board would have understood that particularly given your profession of choice. By that i mean you put yourself on the line to help others on a daily basis. ( which i greatly respect you for ,<ok>)

I think he should have at least been spoken to as thats discrimination too

i was not the only one who thought h was wrong, i can assure you

I can see how it might look in that regard and yes, you've been caught in the crossfire. It does look as though I'm shifting blame onto you two however I just want to say this. Every single time another member has been banned since this Board was set up, I have condemned. I never agree with banning anyone - other than myself who has pushed it too far on a number of occasions. If I was to agree with Queen's and COL's bans it would be inconsistent and a departure from what I've always said since day one. I've received 4 or 5 death threats via PM from QPR Board members since I've been here but I never wanted them banned so it would be a bit erratic to support the ban of someone who just called me a w*nker.

Also, when I was banned I thought to myself that COL wouldn't return when his ban was lifted because I felt he'd be well pissed off with his banning. I still think this is the reason he's not on. I could be wrong of course but me and him have settled our differences yet he's still not posting. It could be that he's just taking a break and there's no real reason for it either. I'm not sure.

I admit it looks weasel-like, shifting the blame onto you Mods. And maybe it is so I'm bowing out of it now.
