The OP posted on the Liverpool board only so is posting his opinion and has a right to do so.

It says a lot that most of the people on that thread reference LFC in their signatures, when they don't even support them.

As ever, far too much is being made of this by people who get off on stoking up controversy. The club and its supporters have their reasons for this stance and they are valid reasons. Anyone else is entitled to disagree with this stance but they should still respect it.
Everyone has their opinion, but it's no more than that- and they should not be trying to impose it on people to whom the issue is much more important and sensitive.

true, and the act that the guy being shown up is banned off the lfc board has a lot to do with the fact (and no corss threads now) that this tripe was stuck on chelsea baord. thats my opinion. i stated what ithink of him so after that i think others who put forth other opinion got a fair answer from me.

everyone's entitled to an opinion <ok> express a silly one and expect to be called on it. thats fair too... lord knows i don't mind being told where to go by most guys like eats who was on earlier or noble or whmever... once they give me a reason why i'm wrong.

I knew that thread was a mistake.

Said this many a time in the past; I am all for the Hillsborough campaign and rememberance day and think Liverpool have done the right thing by taking a stance and not playing on the day - the FA are who I blame, mercenary bastards who are looking for a way to gain more £££. This could easily r avoided by both of us playing on the same day NOT at Wembley at different times, even if they didn't want that then Liverpool could easily play their game on the Friday evening or the Monday evening.

On that fateful day in 1989 as a neutral (support United) tuned in to watch a game of football that on paper had all the ingredients of being a good game (Forest were good then).
In no way was i prepared for the horrifying events that followed. The footage continued as the drama unfolded with the TV station unaware as to the extent of the tragedy. The footage only stopped once it became clear that there were dead or dying people being carried accross the pitch on billboards. By this time my eyes had filled with tears and i was shocked by what i had just witnessed. They were just like me "football fans".
As a "football fan" i love a bit of banter with rival fans.
As a "football fan" i have attended a Hillsborough memorial.
As a "football fan" i don`t class LFC as my rivals on April 15th, more my "fellow fans".
If LFC wish to keep that date for remembrance and not play football i can`t blame them.
Some things in life are more important than football and football rivalries.

You SIR are a gentleman and a true football fan. All of our clubs need more people with such an adult view.

People are spending far too much time trying to justify this, when the OP of the thread on the chavski group was just hate mongering, and trolling. The fact that that thread went on for 3 pages before being shut, and this one is also on 3 pages, shows how successful that trolling has been. Others have touched upon it, in that we don't care what you think, if you think it's wrong, so just leave it like that and don't feed the trolls.

Personally I would never have seen the post, as I never go onto any other board, why would I? I'm a Liverpool supporter, I don't give a rats ass what any other clubs fans are talking about between themselves. If other clubs all want to obsess about us, then that's their embarrassment.

Stop whining about Hillsborough <ok> It was tragic yes but there are far more important things going on in the world. It's been 20 years.
