I think it is cool for teenagers but there's not enough of them. Just loads of families whose kids sit on a tablet the whole game and loads of old people who pretend to have supported the club non stop for several decades but blatantly missed the last 20 years before the move to the KC.
i would beg to differ. from the late sixties and earlry seventies a lot of those singing and chanting were not in their teens. if they were the likes of Sunderland used to have some bloody big teens with them when they came to BP. A big difference now, at least at the KC is how few in their thirties and forties give vocal support compared to some other clubs. Presumably because they didn't experience what it used to be like only becoming City fans when the KC opened and think sitting and politely applauding is the correct way to support a team
Too expensive? Our tickets or tickets in general? A season ticket works out at under £20 a game for an adult at the KC.Blaming austerity is ridiculous. Too expensive in comparison to what? Rod Stewart, One Direction, Rugby Union World Cup tickets? The fact that the attendances last season were the highest for over 60 years and the attendances for the other three divisions and the FA Cup were the highest for over 50 years means that seeing large reductions in ticket prices is unlikely. Only if people stop away in large numbers will that happen. Whether the prices are driving away the sort of fans we would rather sit or stand amongst and replacing them with people we would rather stopped away is, of course, a different matter.
It's only £20 if you can afford a big lump up front. Many can't. Some will find the extra cash as a one off for the opportunity of seeing the hyped up big clubs.
Nah you can do direct debit, so its spread out. I dont know how much it is like as the mrs sorts it out for me
Aye, but you still have to have it each week. Some just don't have it spare, and have to select games. I've had a few mates find themselves victims of circumstance like that. They wouldn't take hand outs, so we bought some and had to invent reasons why we'd blagged 'free' tickets to get them to games.
£500 is a lot of money for me and quite a few people I know A lot of people going to premier league games are the one-off type of fan or football tourists or whatever , I'm sure £50 to see a premier league game is nothing , they will be paying more for tickets to other sporting or cultural events
Many can't,many can. A lot of people suddenly found they had more than the cost of a season ticket to go to Wembley twice in the space of a few weeks.
Yep been in similar situations myself. I was out of work for 4 months first PL season. The mrs had managed to keep my season pass going, god knows how. But i wouldnt go to pub with mates even though they were wanting to buy me beer. Which is strange for me cos i usually love ducking out of rounds You're right. I just odnt know what the answer is. Its popular so it becomes more expensive and thats everywhere not just us. They reckon smaller and non league clubs want the bigger clubs to keep prices high. If they lower them then they may lose fans. Orient are worried West Ham are doing this for next season.
I sing loud n proud and im 60 next march The juniors are as loud as me and want to move to n5 next season as they reckon n5 is louder this season. Still cant persuade them to wear docs though.
