so would i m8, henderson is a real threat out wide but bruce insists on playing him in the middle where he sometimes struggles
Is our starting 11 better now than this team of 4 and a half years ago. Similar qualities going forward but still ****e at the back, nothing changes does it.
It's funny reading these comments from 4 years ago because I used to complain alot about Henderson playing central. I thought he was too lightweight and he was destined to be a top class right winger. Now look at him. Liverpool's captain and an England regular playing as a central midfielder . Goes to show its easy to have an opinion on here, but in reality some of us haven't got a fecking clue .
This is like exactly the same situation were in now. That is a very decent line-up only to be let down by the 2 centre backs, no pace! We've struggled for years to have 2 decent centre halves, that's been our down fall year in year out for the past 10 years.
Henderson has better players around him he is a bit older and wiser, when he was here he was poor defensively, but very good going forward and did look better out wide. imo
We've struggled for years to find a decent left back. I hoped PVA would be the answer but sadly that's not the case. Alonso was quality, if only we could have kept him. Apart from him ,Micky Gray is the only other quality one we've had in recent years.
