    An early report from NUFC.com

The home side took an early lead when Keiran Wrightson lobbed Jonathan Mitchell expertly in the seventh minute. But United got back on terms just four minutes later as Macaulay Gillesphey tucked away a right wing cross at the back post.

The Magpies went in front in the 17th minute as Gael Bigirimana played in Adam Campbell and his low effort beat Robins 'keeper Johnny Ball.

Seven minutes after the restart Campbell got his second with a fine lob to give the visitors a two-goal cushion.

Team: Mitchell, Mbabu, Gillesphey,Bigirimana, Satka, Good, Roberts, Miele, Campbell, Quinn, Barlaser.
Subs: Morgan, Pearson, Drennan, Booth, Heardman.

Newcastle reserves begin their attempt to reclaim the Northumberland Senior Cup tonight against North Shields in a Quarter Final tie.

Squad: Mitchell, Pearson, Morgan, Drennan, Booth, Mbabu, Good, Satka, Gillesphey, Miele, Bigirimana, Barlaser, Campbell, Heardman, Quinn, Roberts.

Not necessarily. Kids (and their parents) will still want to go where they will be developed and valued....and be likely to get a game! This weekend you'll probably see at least 3 or 4 English academy players ( Lallana, Shaw, Chambers, Ward-Prowse) come to play at St. James'....and they're regulars in the PL. Of course, the media is desperate for them to move to a "big" club like Man Utd, but why go to a lower placed side?
