Is she also a healthcare professional?
She worked in an old folks home but she did serve a dead old lady breakfast, so I wouldn't call her a professional.

That comment was so Partridgesque.
Prompt and thorough though. She was entitled to the breakfast, dead or not.

Well there you go. Thing is, if you'd pressed charges they'd have been arrested for assault, but from a social standpoint if you'd have punched one of them it would have been ten times worse. I've been cold-cocked by a husky bird from Witham, even with all that heroin withdrawal in her shaking hands, it still ****ing hurts.
You must be new around here..thread seems to have been derailed
Not really on point, but when did it become more of an issue that a man punches a woman and not the other way around? I know plenty of guys who've been slapped, kicked or punched (in the nether regions) and were told to stop being pussies (one of them ended up with a broken eye socket). Yet if they had retaliated they'd have been locked up.
Is it to do with the fact that men are stronger (on average) and it's unfair? Admittedly I don't know the law inside out so I couldn't tell you what it says, but it always seemed more of a courtesy/social thing than a legal issue?
thread seems to have been derailed- it was intended to be about his footballing abilities or otherwise - not his private life- back on track please ladies and gents or close please mods.
I actually agree with you, in my life I have seen more guys abused either physically or mentally than I have women. I think it comes down to Men are seen as the physically stronger sex, so they should be able to handle it.
That seems mightily off balance though, should and can are two very different things. If society suggests it's alright for a woman to hit a man because the man is stronger and can take it, then there's something very, very wrong with society. It should be equal, like it is in the law. If one of my female pupils punches a male child, they get the exact same reprimand they would if the shoe was on the other foot.
So have I, often in retaliation when they've punched me first (occasionally preemptive retaliation too!)Funny thing is I've punched more than one Policeman in my time ( in sporting contests) and their usual reaction is to punch you back.
