Must admit i the praise from Fergie and Mancini weighed more heavily for me than Pardew and Redknapp :)

Seems my hope that we could be safe with a couple of games to spare is looking doubtful - but technically still do-able. That would be as unexpected as some match results we've already had so who really knows!

To me the QPR match doesn't mean we will go down, and it doesn't guarantee them safety. We shouldn't get too worried, they shouldn't get too excited. The only must win match is if it does go down to the last game of the season and our fate depends on the result. I'd be ignoring recent results if I did not have concerns but i am not worried. IMO Worried fans help no one, worried players may even help the opposition.

Would Adkins have done better against QPR? Might just as well ask would Strachan, or Lawrie Mac have done better. Our manager is now MP so it's down to him no one else. Didnt I read people suggesting NA Would not have got the Man City result after that match!

To me, all this just proves that no game is a given in the PL, they all have to be earned, and I still totally think we have the players that are both loyal and hard working enough to earn us safety.

I was disappointed by Saturdays performance and result but has it really changes our chances of staying up? Not really, due to other losing and assuming City don't do something silly tonight. I have felt that there are three worse teams than us for some time. I still think that's the case. We score goals. No point in worrying at this point. If others want to fret that is their choice but I prefer not to.

Thanks to the city result no one has moved in the bottom part of the table. The only difference for saints is we missed the chance to pull away and create more of a buffer. Still all to play for then.

Indeed. Frankly, the team needs a kick up the arse, for not taking the opportunity to make life a tad easier, and I am quite annoyed at them, but really it's no great shakes. If Saints drop into the bottom 3 with just a few games to go to get themselves out of the mire, I promise to pace the floor, with frustration and concern, a bit. Honest, I will. At the moment, frustration and concern are doing fine all on their own. I know. I've looked. :)
