Not sure if anyone really cares after our dismal performance yesterday.

I see Sheff Wed just broke the Championship goal duck scoring after 30 mins at Fulham.

We will soon be in the position that Col ritually and correctly (to my ignorant protests) places us in every August in the Prem - relying on other teams' results.

As a neutral I watched a really excellent end to end football match today, Everton v Spurs, that ended 1-1, but could have gone either way. Both sides were going for the win until the bitter end. Now if we could only play like that, even if we finished on the losing end, I wouldn't mind so much as our recent 1-1, 1-2 performances.

In the other match, as realistically was eventually to be expected, a resurgent Chelsea took Palace apart at a soggy Selhurst Park. Commentators had a discussion regarding the lack of established goal scoring centre forwards currently available in the transfer market - Charlie wasn't mentioned by name, but Palace could sure use him right now given their striker injury crisis. This scenario would also not create a difficult family move for Charlie, as would be the case to Swansea, Newcastle, Sunderland etc.
