    I think Perisic is top class. 2 good feet, decent in the air and no shortage of skill. There's no such thing as an "outrageous market" anymore, it's just "the market"

    Everton still looking to spend. Benteke to replace RL. God I hope they fail miserably this season and RK gets sacked after spending £150 million plus.




    EVERTON TURN TO BENTEKE

    Everton are ready to continue their summer of spending with a move for Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke, according to Sky sources.

    The Merseysiders have already signed forwards Sandro Ramirez and Wayne Rooney this summer but they now have former Liverpool man Benteke in their sights.

    Reports towards the end of the season claimed the striker, who cost Palace a club-record fee of £27m, was considering leaving.

    Every window there's teams who buy tons of players, and everyone bangs on about them looking a threat. Most of them don't come off at all, and after a good start, things start to go wrong. Last close season people were looking to Crystal Palace to crack the top eight...

    Thursdays will disrupt any team who don't have a squad full of players with the actual experience of playing and winning regularly in Europe. Which Everton don't/won't.
