Did anyone see in the news that a 15 year old has been charged with manslaughter following an assault on a Polish man? What have they done to this country?

Any views on Nico Rosberg retiring days after becoming world champion.....surely it would be the most lucrative period of his career ?

My view is that he knows how lucky he has been with Lewis Hamilton having failed to finish races from good positions....no way he would have stayed in front of Hamilton without bad luck helping him.

He knows that Hamilton is the better racer and he doesn't fancy that pressure for another season whatever the perks are for being world champion.

I am a huge F1 fan and have enjoyed this season but I can't say that Rosberg will be missed. Hamilton is by far the better driver and tactician and to a certain extent Rosberg won the title by default. To quit at such an early age suggests (to me) that his heart was never really in it-i.e he was in it for the money and to win the championship. Surely most genuine sportsmen would stay in their chosen game for as long as possible.

If you earned £15m a year how long would you work? Why risk dying before you could spend it. If I earned that I'd work for around 4 months. £5m would do me nicely for the rest of my natural.

He's just become a Dad and there's a big change coming up next year in the design of the cars.

If Mercedes remain dominant and there is equal reliability, Hamilton will beat Rosberg 9 times out of 10.

If Red Bull and Adrian Newly master what will be an aero dominated formula, what's the point running around in 4th?

A wise decision from a somewhat lucky champion. Still, it's a gruelling competition and you do need luck to win it. Hamilton won his first if you remember when sudden torrential rain allowed him to gain several places on the very last lap of the very last race of the season in Brazil. Philippe Massa crossed the line in the Ferrari believing he was champion, only to find Hamilton finishing behind him had nicked it.

Like most things in life money talks. Either having more of it to spend than others or more to pay to others for certain services received. Did they lose it in the rain??? We shall never know. There is always one team that is super over and above the others so it makes the championship a bit of a non lotery. Like most sports regretably.

Continuing on from the Office for National Statistics immigration figures of 650,000 for the 12 months upto June 2016.

Article in todays Daily Express........New immigrants should swear an "oath of integration", take English lessons and be taught about British values, an official review has recommended.

Social policy expert Dame Louise Casey said immigration to Britain in recent years had left some communities divided and unable to cope because the Government did not do enough to ensure the newcomers integrated into society.

The report found that some Muslims lead such seperate lives that their children think Britain is a majority Islamic country.

My view is that this government and past Governments...Tory....Tory/Lib Dems or Labour have failed dramatically to control immigration and help to integrate newcomers into British society......the UK is changing so quickly from being a Country that those over 60 years of age recognize anymore.

It's net migration of 327k actually - 126k of UK citizens and 181k non-UK wisely left the country.

You are right, I hardly recognise the neo-fascist state we are becoming. Racist attacks, our sovereign Parliament being by-passed and judiciary being attacked.. what next, brown shirts?

I've just noticed that tomorrow heralds the biggest game of the season in football. MK Dons meet Wimbledon in a league fixture. I'm wondering if thousands of Wimbledon fans will turn up for a right day out or whether they will boycott it completely and there will be nobody in the away end at all. Wimbledon could send MK Dons into the relegation zone with a win and lift themselves into a play off place. Oh how fortunes turn.

The Daily Telegraph's cartoonist Matt had me smiling this morning with his cartoon on the front page.

Picture of the Doctor in his surgery with elderly lady having flu jab......Doctor says...."This vaccine is from Russia . A possible side effect is that you could run 100m in under 10 seconds".

I've been reading a few stories on the beeb website and there is one on there about supposedly 3 pro footballers talking to the FA about "coming out". Remind me what year this is please. Is it 1916 or 2016? I cannot believe that people are still bothered about this subject. The media is full of people in the public eye who are gay. Nobody much gives a flying fig what people do in the privacy of their own homes. Whyis it then such a big deal for footballers? I cannot believe people would care one jot and the chants would be any worse or better at gay people. All I would advise them is just come out and don't make such a big fuss and bother about it. If they don't then I doubt anyone else will either. Show you are bothered and people will use that and give 10 times more stick than they ever would have. Give it a short time and nobody will even bother at all.

In a few years time they will all probably be Gay .. who knows or cares.. As you say just get on with the football what ever you are or do.. Football should be for everyone, don't matter colour, religion or gay, bi sexual or straight..

With the amount of it about these days I wouldn't be surprised Joe. I'm beginning to feel like a minority. Do you think it's natures way of getting rid of the dominant species? It usually finds a way to kill it off and it's a lot less messy than a meteor strike. This way it gets bred out or rather there isn't any breeding.........

OK.....rant of the day....whilst down Sevenoaks today, I popped into a well known local stationary shop....thinking that I might be able to find acceptable Christmas cards for my Son and Daughter and their families.....WROOONG.

There where cards for Sons or Daughters fine....and Sons or Daughters and their partners......or for Daughter and Grandchildren (single parent obviously...unmarried or Divorced).....Sons or Daughters and their same sex partners.....but for the life of me could I find any Cards that where so politically incorrect as to say ....to Son and Wife or Daughter and Husband....the assistant just gave me a puzzled look when I asked.

Maybe......just maybe.... they had sold out....but I'm not holding my breathe waiting for replacement stock to come in.

I do feel that I'm living on another planet these days.....do I need therapy because I want to vomit at the sight of men/women holding hands and kissing....is there a tablet or a potion I can take to bring me into accepting the majority viewpoint in this so enlightened age.

    Rant over.
