Good job Argyle aren't sponsored by Viagra. You could have had a stiff one at the free bar. (boom boom) Match finished and despite the scoreline it wasn't exactly top quality. Scots are crap and England probably flattered by 3 - 0. 3 points move on.
Yep plym in the days when players were allowed to tackle and if one hit the turf it's because his leg was kicked off. But, Scotland have been zero threat in any competition for donkeys years now and don't form any opposition much for anyone. England just flatter to deceive as usual. They were never 3 - 0 better tonight. I could hardly build any enthusiasm for watching it to be honest. Mind you after listening to my roof being taken apart all day long today I couldn't build much enthusiasm for anything. I get knackered watching and listening to other people work these days.
Well it does not matter how we do in the qualifying, its the real thing we cant do as a nation.. Scotland are the weakest of the uk and not just in football.. Sensible, ge ta part time jpob you may not be so tired then, as it may be a rest?
Hmmmm!! Paid to snooze.....you might be on to something there Joe. I could do that and I'm very qualified.
You do win your fair share of things at Home Park don't you Lindy.....do you rush off and buy a lottery ticket straight away whilst your luck is flowing ? I see it's mentioned on pasoti as well now.
Whoopee!! I get to have a lie in tomorrow as the building persons have finished and left the building. All I have to do is pay now. Still I can leave robbing the Bank until the afternoon. I've spent days making tea and serving it. That isn't so bad but making me wear the French Maid outfit was a bit cruel. I had to shave my legs. Peace rains though and there won't be anyone running about on my roof at some ungodly hour. I reckon he gets Bully to do his predictions Plym. Wonder how good his conversation is going to be. I expect a load of insider information from this.
I can't believe it. Not only have we got one of my most hated managers Westley back in league two it now seems we might get the other one Steve Evans as well. Beeb says he has been contacted by Mansfield. Is there no escape from these people.
I wasn't going to bother but I did watch the friendly v Spain which in all honesty didn't turn out to be all that friendly after all. If the Ref had followed the letter of the football rules then there would have been several players short in this one. Very niggly and one or two of the challenges did look to be on the deliberate side. Not that bad a match to watch I suppose. England did well for a lot of the game and then decided to blow it at the end. You could see that equaliser coming. I think they should give Southgate the bleddy job now and be done with it. He wants the job and I can't see a load of others lining themselves up for it currently so just sort it out FA.
England generally wait until tournament finals before they blow it...but they nearly lost last night from 2-0 up and in the dying moments.....Spain did have a few unknowns in their team so hard to decide how good a performance it was for 89 minutes.....not sure about Southgate but there ain't no one else that comes to mind.
Two news items that have jumped out at me in this mornings Telegraph. 1..... That India and China are still receiving British Aid to the sum of hundreds of millions of pounds every year although we are denying it. The Independent Commission for Aid Impact (ICAL) which audits spending by the Government, said that ministers have given a false impression that "all aid was being phased out". 2.....The second one is about...she who must be obeying....no not Theresa May......but German Chancellor Angel Merkel....who has signalled that she may be willing to compromise on the issue of free movement in the wake of the Brexit vote. In comments interpreted as a significant shift the German Chancellor suggested that the EU needed to "discuss further" the rules around freedom of movement. My thoughts News item one is something that has amazed me for quite awhile.....that we are giving money to countries that dabbel in things like the space race....yet we are giving money to them to "help" them....what the hell is going on.....we are cutting our finance to our own needy people yet subsidising two of the worlds leading powers....one a world leader in trading and the other one coming up fast on the rails News item two....does this mean that Merkel is starting to wake up to the fact the "freedom of movement" doesn't work....chaos in the EU because of it is obviously hitting home to her with the unrest within her own country. Some form of border control and vetting is required to balance movement to those that are genuine.....mainland Europe is flooded with millions of African/middle east/far east people and what percentage are here for illegal reasons......Brexit must mean Homeland Security above all else....so so obvious.
That sort of aid is there to buy trade and diplomatic support in world affairs. All countries do it, especially China and Russia, but it's immoral. I'm in favour of reasonable aid spending but it should go to the poorest, not those we want to curry favour with, pardon the phrase. Rather than clutching at straws on Brexit, I'd rather you told me how we are going to resolve the inevitable conflict when we end up a compromise deal which neither the Leavers (17.4m) or the Remainers (16.1m) find acceptable. It only needs 650k of the former (1% of the electorate) not to support the deal and there's no public majority let alone one in Parliament.
I see common sense has prevailed and all discussions on the EFL-Whole Game Solution have been cancelled. Seems the stumbling block was the FA fortunately refusing to have FA cup fixtures played midweek. I think this also means that any plan to restructure the leagues is also a dead duck.
Think it was mainly moving the FA cup rounds to midweek to free up Saturdays-thereby reducing midweek league fixtures and allowing a midwinter break. Fairly sure that the restructuring of English leagues into the Prem + 4 leagues of 20 teams was also part of the same package.
Yes I looked it up. Put people in charge and they suddenly think it's their bounden duty to change things, have you ever noticed that? How long before the next crackpot idea comes along? Who wants a winter break in League 2 so that the PL clubs can squeeze in a few more money-spinning friendlies in China or the USA during the Christmas holidays? Hands up.
