They put their own rubbish in the bins overnight otherwise. As non tax payers, they are not entitled to collection and are supposed to dispose of their waste in the woods.
I doubt if it is a good idea to tell a bear when he should put out his rubbish......there still looking for the last chap who tapped a bear on the shoulder and told him the rules of when you put out the rubbish.
Due to a shortage of NHS resources, millions will be unable to access free ear wax removal. In a chorus of responses, thousands have said “what?”, “I beg your pardon?” and “Wednesday”.
Having acquired my fair share of tools over a 50 year working life....I was up my 'Man Cave'....or better known as my 10x7 shed having a little rummage around....and found I had seven pairs of "Mole" grips....there all made by different firms and where different sizes....but one pair I can remember buying when I first became an apprentice in the mid 1950's. Having done a little research ..I found out that this original pair where actually called Mole grips....we generally call them Mole grips whoever made them....just like vacuum cleaners...we quite often call them Hoovers. This tool was first designed in the States in the 1920's....MK Mole & Son started producing a similar grip in 1955 in this country... and I believe my pair must be one of the early ones produced by his firm.....and must be about 68 yrs old....and they still work as well as any of the other ones that I have acquired over the years.....amazing.
It seems that Cameron & Osborne have links to the UAE which look quite fishy....all stems back to when they were in No10 & No11.....all started with a secretive Whitehall unit codenamed Project Falcon to court oil-rich sheiks in the UAE and persuade them to invest billions in the UK. Of course the Daily Telegraph are trying not to be sold to the Emirati-backed bid....and Cameron has told colleagues in private that the State should be allowed to own the publisher of the newspaper.....sounds to me that there is maybe.... brown envelopes being slipped under the desk......these envelopes would make the shenanigans at Fifa look like pocket money. There are two full pages in the Telegraph today trying to expose it all.
So the Post Office might go down to delivering only THREE days a week.......or maybe put the price of stamps up yet again. I thought they were already doing three days a week.....and the present cost of stamps has literally killed off Christmas cards.
That'll be the far right pro-Brexit Telegraph slagging off the middle of the road, anti-Brexit politicians will it?
Another great victory for Brexit. On top of the failure to get a trade deal with America, with an attendant loss of diplomatic influence, trade talks with Canada have now been terminated. That’s another large, prosperous, largely English speaking country, a member of the Commonwealth and the Five Eyes, who we can’t get a deal with. On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate it so far?
We all hear about and at times witness personally the horrors of the NHS.....and in the last five months with Mrs Plym there are situations we would not want to repeat. BUT today I would like to give them a pat on the back. We had today a 2pm appointment in a clinic in our local Hospital.....this has been known to last over 3hrs at times... so I generally pay for 4hrs parking....because that works out cheaper than feeding the meter if you park for a shorter time. Took awhile to find a parking bay....lucky enough to be approaching when a car pulled out so nipped into that space. This meant that we where 5mins late for our appointment....found a solitary seat for Mrs Plym to sit down....time she had taken her layers of extra clothing off the procedures before the appointment started...she was called to have her blood pressure checked...then her height and weight to be done followed up quickly to give a urine sample.....having settled down after all that upheaval....the consultant popped her head out of her office and called us in....and on leaving she sent us off to give a blood sample before we went home. Took a ticket out of the dispensing machine and went to sit down with me staggering under Mrs Plym's extra layers of clothing....no sooner than that had happened then the number machine turned over to the next number.....and it was Mrs Plyms turn to give a blood sample. Now all this can generally take at least 3hrs plus....today the clinic looked very busy....meaning I was standing with no where to sit. When you give a blood sample it can easily take up to 2hrs waiting.....BUT today from the moment we got into the clinic and finished giving blood the total time was 25 minutes....totally impossible and I would have bet your house on it never happening. We where literally in shock and popped into the volunteers coffee shop to recover.....I have still got nearly 2hrs parking paid for at the hospital that I didn't need today.
But we knew about doctored meat before we left the EU..... and that states that allow it would want to sell it to us in any deal we might want to negotiate. In fact, I seem to think that pressure to reduce food and animal welfare standards were mentioned as risks of leaving the EU on more than one occasion. Shame nobody was listening.
I came down this morning and had a quick look at the Test cricket. India were 3 wickets down then. I watched Laura Kuenssberg while having breakfast and then went back to the cricket. Now 121-7 with India still needing 140 to win. What a turnaround after all the doom and gloom about England’s prospects on spin bowling Indian wickets.
Tom Hartley got hit for six with his first ball in India's first innings....figures of 131-2. India's second innings he got 62-7.....outspun the Indians.
Having watched quite a bit of footie on the telly recently I find it strange how corner kicks are being placed these days. The ball is placed so the circumference of the ball is just slightly over the white line.....and you see the linesman checking that it is so....what the heck is gained from that positioning Today it went a step further....the Newport v Man U second half restart the ball was placed in the Man U half and the ball was just in line with the centre spot marking when Newport restarted the game....what the hell is that all about.
It’s not as if pitches have great ruts in the heavily trafficked areas nowadays is it? Mind you, there are other hazards. Watching the Cardiff game I noticed how close the lino stood to the corner kick taker. Talk about “up close and personal”! One day, a lino will get kicked and we’ll have to have VAR to see if it was deliberate.
Traditional Victorian Blue lamps are to be returned to Police Stations as part of a force's attempt to make itself more visible and approachable. (Starting paragraph of an article in todays Daily Telegraph (30/01/2024 ). I've got a better idea....how about getting bobbies back out on the beat amongst the community....or is that to outlandish. It must be comforting to know when you come home and find your back door has been forced open and your house has been ransacked.....that down the local police station they have returned the blue lamp to give you the comfort of knowing that your local bobbies are reassuringly there. It must be comforting to know....that when you come back home and find that your back door has been forced open and your home has been ransacked....that down the road your local bobbies have installed a lovely blue light outside their station to give you confidence that they are there for your safety. It make you want to "*(^%"!)(*&%^@:~#'; a little bit don't it.
The Arab Behemoth continues it's forward march....gobbling up every sport that its extreme wealth can swallow. The Saudis are now turning their attention to Rugby Union....,. The Saudi Sovereign Public Investment Fund (PIF)....which took an 80% stake in Premier League Newcastle United in 2021...have held discussions with Gloucester, Leicester Tigers, Northampton Saints & Newcastle Falcons about proposed seven-figure investments. It is understood that the group are seeking control of stadium naming rights and the establishment of a rugby academy in Saudi Arabia as part of any potential stake in the four clubs...an investment which could be as much as a combined £60 million to the clubs involved. Premiership executives are thought to be aware of the discussions but the organization said it could not comment on individual club matters when approached by ...Telegraph Sports. Part of a Telegraph Sports article....1/2/2024. It will be very difficult for these Premier clubs to say no to huge investment from the PIF.......Last season saw the demise of three clubs.....Wasps, London Irish & Worcester Warriors. Top rugby clubs have no other answer to surviving then to go where the money is....the PIF. Soon we will only be left with "Tiddlywinks" and other such "games".....but hold on they're probably owned by China who produce such games for us numbskulls to amuse ourselves with anyway. There is more than one way to take over the world.....and with the god oil slowly sinking from its all powerful position....these arab countries need to invest their wealth now before it is to late.
