Blimey it's either all or nothing with our cricket team.

Checked on how it was going awhile ago....only to find it was all over and everyone had gone home......thrashed by an innings.

That has finished in under three days.....and they got washed off on the first day by 2pm.....a lot of ticket money has to be returned for days 4 and 5.

I was watching the News tonight and lo and behold old Boris appeared again. This is the bloke who hasn't been seen here for weeks. Why was he on the News? Did he do something to sort out the current economic crisis in the UK? Nope. Was he sorting out the energy crisis? Nope. Was he doing something about all the thousands of illegal Channel crossings he promised to sort out? Nope not a chance. There he was in Ukraine giving a speach about supporting them in their hour of need. There he was with his fat little porky hands clutching an honour they bestowed on him for spending shed loads of our money on arms for Ukraine when people here were visiting food banks. Now don't get me wrong I do not begrudge Ukraine being supported with my money. What I do object to is Boris being rewarded for it on the World stage when he has deserted the post in this Country he is still being paid to do. I find it even more weird that I read recently that the majority of Conservative Party Members would STILL prefer to have Johnson as their leader. These are the people who are being trusted to pick our next waste of space.

Does this sound familiar.......Second day of the hose pipe ban.....woken up at 5am by very adjacent thunder and lightening.....the rain is poring off the roof so fast that it is bypassing the gutters as if they weren't there......this is the first proper rain of the summer....it promised a few weeks back but it petered out after a few minutes....but this is the real MCcoy.

Mrs Plyms official 80th birthday today and we are going up to Kew ....our first trip up there since the pandemic......I will now start doing our picnic lunch.....the rain should subside by 10/11am.....so hopefully we can get down the station without looking like drowned rats.......I blame Boris....everyone else will.

The act of canceling culture....by the woke brigade has turned its attention on BBC/ITV sitcoms.

    Hi-de-Hi !...Blackadder...The Young One...Dad's Army...Little Britain...Allo' Allo'.......etc...etc.

The Streaming Service Britbox...founded by the BBC and ITV...has been giving various Sitcoms a language and attitudes warning....that some could find offensive....alerting audiences to outdated 1980's comedies that might offend.

Vicki Michelle, the actress who played French waitress Yvette Carte-Blanche in Allo' Allo'.....has criticised the trend of branding classic comedy offensive, adding that the impulse to take offence has left British comedy "neutralised"

Ravil Maganov, chairman of the Russian oil company Lukoil, which had called for an end to the war in Ukraine, has died. He fell from the window of a Moscow hospital. Funny old world isn't it?

Lets not be too critical of the Soviets. Princess Di disappeared suddenly in France.........

As for comedies. Have a look at "After Life" on Netflixs if you want to wince at comedy. Ricky Gervais. I like it but I could see where it would make some cringe.

    So it's PM Truss.

Over 600 spoilt ballot papers......most of those might be saying......Neither.....or...... Boris......I would think.

Boris isn't missed that much then as 600 is less that one half of a percent of those eligible to vote. I am now waiting for Truss to be even worse than he was. All the talk about right wing European parties and here we have a very right wing PM to put up with. Having mostly voted Tory in my voting lifetime I just cannot see me ever doing it again as long as this shower hang around. You heard her promises so lets see how long it takes for her to start the water down process. I have no faith it won't all turn out to be another load of lies to get elected. There is no Democracy in 172,000 out of a population of 70+million deciding who the Countries leader is and there should be an election now not in 2 years time.

I'm with you Sensible, with the Tories now on the far right and the LIb Dems in some respects further left than Labour, I'm disenfranchised too.

What is necessary at this moment in time ...is like her or not... Liz Truss has to get it right regarding the state of gas and electricity costs for those of us who find that our bills have gone bananas and will mean that many cannot afford the cost...
this is on top of all the other bills that have risen.

I'm not Tory...not LibDem...not Labour....so I can't say that I've even been disenfranchised ....there was a time when I thought UKIP might have been the way forward....but that went pear shaped after Farage moved on....and his new party doesn't seem to be hitting the ground running.

Politics isn't attracting the right type of people ....we might think our leaders are over paid ...but top business leaders earn far more without the 24/7 gold fish bowl situation scrutiny that MP have to live under.

The party style politics we have lends itself to swings of extremes....one moment right wing believes....then left wing believes.....such a waste of effort swinging to and fro and financially damaging.

Maybe I'm expecting too much to expect a government of independent MP's.....
You can get it at council level....and the odd MP at times.

I'm not a Liz Truss liker and certainly not a Rishi Sunak man....I do believe that a Hindu should not lead a Christian Country....that said with tongue in cheek in this so called multicultural country that the majority accept.....that might not be politically correct at this time and certainly not wokism.

I was as you all know a Nigel Farage fan.....he certainly saw through the waffle of the EU and was spot on regarding us getting out.

BUT i was appalled at his support for Donald Trump.....which undermined what his UKIP party could have achieved on the domestic front.

Truss isn't that answer.....but she will have to do for now.......Labour have nothing to offer.....Keir Starmer isn't the man and his lefty deputy is better known for being unsettling for Boris sitting opposite him at the dispatch box.

Rather Sunak with some financial discipline than this airhead who's promised the earth with no hint as to how it's going to be paid for.

Your comment about his religion is a ****ing disgrace.

I was expecting such a comment....you beat sensible to it.

Christianity and Hinduism are incompatible.....which for a Hindu PM would create contradictions to his beliefs and faith.

Reincarnation is central to Hinduism.....not believed by Christianity......that is just one of many problems.

No just you on here anyway. His religion has nothing to do with his worth whatsoever but in your little England World it is of course relevant. You are a racist and you have proved it more than once. You frankly aren't worth an exchange of comments so I will opt out before you cry "you're picking on me" once more. If you want to flounce off then please feel free.
