This is one game where possession stats are actually meaningful. Australia with 70% of the possession in England's third, now leading 10-4. England seem to be wilting under the pressure.

Final score 18-4. Not a bad effort by England - but never in doubt.

Won at the first corner wasn't it really!

Reckon he would have come higher if needed to as well.

Probably won't be happy with how the title was won though as Hamilton wanted to win in style...

England's women have won the 3rd ODI in Oz, meaning the points based Ashes is now 4-2 to the Aussies.

Scotland v Samoa at Murrayfield is more like a basketball game than a rugby union game - 44-38. Every time Scotland score a try, Samoa sneak one back almost immediately.

A capacity attendance too - 67,000. The Samoans are always entertaining to watch, so not surprising really.

A bit of a boilover in the Rugby League World Cup overnight - New Zealand knocked out by Fiji in a low scoring match, 2-4.

Well done James Vince...not a bad way to answer your critics. As one who's watched him a lot, he has the ability. it's just the self-belief he needs at Test level. I hope he finds it because he's good to watch. Not many better cover drivers in the game...

I'd forgotten that was on - not that I could have watched it anyway, today being a work day. Going by the number of overs bowled, I assume the weather interrupted?

With that being the forecast for the rest of this week and all of next, I suspect a drawn match may be on the cards.

England must be slightly embarrassed at this World Cup result - beaten by a country with a population smaller than that of Berkhamsted...
