Good prediction. Was close though! Russia haven't been banned totally apart from their athletes so a kop out from the IOC?
On the face of it. They're already facing a lawsuit and I think they have that in mind. The complicity to the highest level is the truly disgusting thing about it.
I just hope the decision to bat again doesn't come back to bite England.. Technically the ECB is really know as the England and Wales cricket board..
In today's cricket at Scarborough Adil Rashid was caught Fletcher bowled Christian...the best dismissal since the frequent one at Chester-Le-Street of caught Mustard bowled Onions!
The pedant in me replies that 'caught and bowled' is generally reserved for occasions when the bowler himself holds a return catch
Saw Middlesex v Kent at Lord's on Sunday - got into the ground just in time to see Finny take a brilliant c & b. Stirling and Morgan made the chase look easy.
IOC seem to have decided they do want to make the decision to ban athletes now. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/36934760 Probably found some more failed drugs tests and need to ban a few more people before they win medals.
That had to be one of the best road races that the Olympics has ever seen. It had just about everything. Shame for Thomas to finish up in the gutter, but then he wasn't the only one to push things just a little too hard.
In the build up to theOlympics I was not really up for it -but over the last week have really enjoyed some of the sports being shown. I didnot expect too much from our team after London - post host slump as they were calling it - but we have done remarkably well so far. Thought the race with Bradley Wiggins and co last night was excellent - I knew the Aussies would put up a great fight.
Nearly. Strikes me that some of the organisation and management of the games has been amateurish in the extreme... sewage at the sailing, riptides* at the rowing, swamp in the pools, judging at the long jump.... *just WTF was that all about last night? No wonder Rutherford was in tears last night, so frustrating. Not saying he'd have won but it would have shifted the psychology of the other jumpers had he been leading which is where he should have been.
Hemel's Max Whitlock takes our 1st gold in the Gymnastics for 100 plus years! Also after all the fuss about golf in the Olympics we win that too!
