Amazing stat of the day. Nigeria and Canada played out a scoreless draw in the Women's World Cup in Melbourne this morning. Canada's captain, 40 year old Christine Sinclair, missed a penalty - had she converted it, she would have become the first player ever to score in six World Cup series. Holder of over 300 caps for Canada, she has scored 190 international goals - the most in either men's or women's football. And just for good measure, she has an Olympic gold medal, as well as three bronze. Something tells me that she'll manage to score the one goal that she needs.
