Johnny Brownlee finally gets his Gold. Alex Yee is an absolute monster on the run stage, he and Taylor-Brown I'd tip to upgrade in Paris
F1... Crazy race, crazy! The start, the weather, the tyre changes (or not), etc. Crazy! Max must be wondering what he's done wrong to deserve the luck he's received in the last two races whilst somehow Lewis manages to glow up the world through his arsehole!
Bonkers race and thoroughly enjoyable. Agent Bottas getting the job done with a double hit on the Red Bulls. Pleased for Ocon, always nice to see a surprise winner, but Alonso really won the race for Alpine by holding the gates for so many laps. Russell finally got some deserved points, although finishing behind the guy he's cleaned out in their entire time as team mates. Vettel continuing to be Vettel, even changing teams can't help him.
Vettel's only crime personally was inability to pass a Renault. That's it. He got close but didn't get it done. That's it. The fact his team couldn't take 1litre out of the car is down to them. BTW. Vetted is a has been but no need to make a negative out of a largely positive day for the guy. In the end it was those with the best pit location that prospered and a bizarre start so what I can say is it was probably more interesting that the usual Hungarian ****show but the start was set up for a ding dong battle in wet conditions between the two title.contendors so the race that didn't happen might have been more interesting.
Good chance the Rowers will be joined by the athletics team as a poor showing for big spending. Seems that they lumped all their eggs in the Asher-Smith/KJT basket. So far they only achieved anything in the middle distance womens races. And what has happened to all the British men in Athletics?
Lions absolutely throw away the tour v South Africa. Refused 4 or 5 kicks and went to corner after it worked once.
Can’t wait for the race at Spa this afternoon. What a lap from Russell yesterday, top class driver and future WC ... hoping he can get the lead off the line. He won’t stay there but would be fun to see
Anything could happen. I had to wait a while to see the laps at the end and Norris got screwed. At this point who knows what happens. Clearly the starting conditions are vital. If they send them off in west from standing start it could be carnage. Bottas is out of this. Irrelevant, hamilton wont be 2minute before he is past Russell no matter what so this is when all is said and done a straight shoot out between the two.
I have not seen enough from Russel yet. He is a good qualified but norris is racey. I generally prefer a guy who can race to a guy who can do one lap. Russel however needs a decent car to show if he can so it'll be interesting in the future
Could be carnage. A wet race at Spa is just what's needed, really looking forward to this, it'll either mix it up nicely or test out Hamilton and Verstappen up front, presuming Hamilton gets past Russell in the opening stages. Been to Spa a fair few times, still a legendary track even though they've started to sanitise it like all the others
One appearance in a Merc is hardly any gauge, but he showed he can race as well then, a whole season is a different situation though
