She did a runner amid the chaos and is being sought by police. The Tour people are talking about suing.
if they are a "youth" as advertised and under age they can sue all they like. Its hands up i am bankrupt and the tour can't get any blood out of a stone. Its highly unlikely they can extract anything out of them?
What are they suing them for? I would have thought the Police might be involved. It's a bit dangerous holding a sign into a group of fast moving cyclists.
Serena Williams seems to be. She's slowly killing off all rivals before the tournament starts. Federer is about as well so it's a pure Djokovic grand slam v Federer swansong thing.
mate this is the Tour and they have significant clout - and if nothing else may make people actually look at the riders instead of facing the camera motorbikes .
They can all the clout they want but if you've a little no mark with no assets what can you get out of them in civil court? It seems to me they are after her for criminal actions no? i saw a year in jail and a fine which they won't pay. there's no way they won't find her. Someone will shop her, be it from germany or france. Probably if they have a "job" of some reasonable level with a company she will get the sack, but then again the labour laws are a bit different in europe on these things.
since neither of us have any clue on French civil Law i ain't daft enough to speculate on what sort of redress would be considered if a case was bought and successful . yes the Pierre Plod did say they were looking into the incident to see if any laws were broken .
you can't extract blood from a stone, you can make all the claims you like. If they don't have a house you can take what you like but they won't pay the insurance bill this thing will have will it? Surely you bang her up for a year and drop the max fine on her.
insurance bill you really don't watch much cycling do you It is the organisers talking about suing her presumably as a deterrent to others .
What other possible reason could you take her to court for? Being an annoyance? If you don't want money out of someone then theres zero point going to court.
I agree with MITO here (), it's very unlikely she'll be able to compensate financially so don't understand suing her. Prosecuting yes, but not suing.
This tour is turning into who can stay upright . Thomas rode 150 km after having his dislocated shoulder pushed back into place Roglic did 10k with a suspected broken coccyx
