meh, F1 used to be way more fun when the drivers were allowed to over take and cause crashes. Been sanitized these days.
That was a quality race today (well, yesterday), best I've seen in ages. Some of the overtaking and some three / four way fights were just phenomenal. Very entertaining and great to see so many different leaders in one race too!
Cracking stage in the tour today . The ones with short sharp climbs are so often much more fun than the big mountain stages where all the GC contenders normally play safe .
The big one is up now. Lose this and Jones is finally a goner. The warm up was typical nz. Head shots all round as legitimate tactic but when the main man goes down he pops up for them and has to be ordered off by ref and even then is sent back in after hia. Clearly dazed. Lots of fumbles and bad choices etc.
Everyone making out that this girl is from Kazakhstan. She's Russian. This ain't like Norrie or Rusedski whose parents are from the country they represented. She was born in Russia to Russian parents and only Kazakh cause some billionaire paid for her to play for Kazakhstan.
Another stage full of incidents.............looks like Pogacar retains yellow. This gets brutal as of tomorrow
considering the number of bodies on the tarmac desperately trying to breath i think some of them may think it already is . Never seems to be an easy day like they regularly used to years ago .
Absolutely brilliant days racing yesterday and big surprise when Pogacer cracked having looked immense till then . Easy day today starting with doing the Galibier again but from other side and ending on Alpe d'Huez
My main problem with F1 is how little they're are allowed to play with design. I want to see more diversity of design and experimentation. When all the cars have the same strengths and weaknesses and are almost carbon copies there's not going to be much overtaking or change in which car is competitive and which track. Safety is very important, but so is it important for the sport to be a sport.
