The only glimmer of a reason I wouldn't mind Lewis winning it is because I think he'll tutor Russell (I like Russell) after breaking the record. If he doesn't win, he'll keep going for that eighth.
Not sure what to make of Russel, don't think he is of Verstappen level, but then it's hard to tell in his **** car. Norris has a decent one and is right up in the mix from time to time. I guess he can't be much worse than Bottas
Russell us very tall for a racing driver but has that key first ability of qualifying well. If you can consistently put the car on pole or 2nd then that's a great start. Perez has let red.bull down by not being closer to verstappen consistently for example. Russell as a racer. Not so sure.
I like Russell but he's yet to be tested as a racing driver. I think it definitely be a very good number two but hope he can be a number one. Would love to see Norris and Russell fighting it out for the championship.
The way norris has talked this weekend he will never be a world champion. You.need to want to pass both ****s here. I hate wolff more than anyone else in this battle. He is a nasty nasty low life. Bull ****. Lewis clearly gained an advantage, Max saw the gap and dive bombed but never left the track. Pure bull ****! Fair enough if the stewards see it differently but to say Lewis gave the advantage up its horse ****. Max was at the very least level but at the end of the first lap Lewis was 1.3secs up!
Lewis clearly quicker. Perez held him up brilliantly; Max closed the gap down to 1.2 as a result but three laps since and that gap is now 2.8sec, not sure what RB can do about it now. Maybe stick softs in with ten laps to go and hammer it?
If Verstappen had tried to turn earlier i think he would have got the decision but by basically going straight on and only turning at last second he forced him off the track but yeah the idea he gave back the advantage gained
Lewis is far quicker so should walk the rest of this race unless anything dramatic happen. Beat they could do is pit Perez again and hold him in the pits to get him out infront of Hamilton. Will get a few blue flags waved at him but might be able to slow down Hamilton enough for Max to try force an error.
He had every right to go for the gap, got it and stayed on the track. Lewis gained a massive advantage cutting the corner. Every pundit that's spoke about it since as said the same btw
Mercedes are going to be really pissed about letting those three lapped cars go. Why let them go or, if you are going to let them go, why not the rest?
Can understand why they’d be pissed tbf. Dominated the race and screwed by a decision from the top on the final lap. Pretty much handed the title to Max. Allowing him to pit under safety car and then just go right back into second place on the field doesn’t seem right.
