It's an amazing sport cricket... You always react to what is happening right now, Aussies in trouble, got em here, 35-3, 120-7, then low and behold what are we doing here, we can't get em out. How the hell have they scored so many when we had them by their balls...

Today we might go serenely to 100-1, not a care in the world, the Aussies are toiling, their bowling is fast but cant harm us, their 290 isn't enough we'll soon knock these off and get 450...
    or
We will be sitting at 50-4, going at 1 run an over, can't get the ball off the square, how will we even get to 150 let alone 290...

And people say Test Cricket is dead...!!

    Bring on day two... :emoticon-0148-yes: :emoticon-0107-sweat :emoticon-0103-cool:

This test match is in danger of petering out tamely. I just can't see that many wickets falling any more .............

I seemed to recall from way back, somebody said, "Just imagine 2 quick wickets." We could be actually be 150 for 6 in a couple of minutes.

Let's see what happens when Lyon gets the cherry in the 4th innings. He looked tricky in our first dig so I'm fearing the worst. Moeen looks a shot duck at test level sadly. Got to go as he readily admits to not being happy being the frontline spinner and his batting has been woeful. Not sure who replaces him though.

What a drive from Lewis Hamilton to win the Hungarian GP. Gambled on new tyres 20 laps from the finish and caught Verstappen with 2 laps to go. Awesome.

Which idiot said it won't get to the 5th day...!! :emoticon-0138-think :emoticon-0142-happy :emoticon-0137-clapp

To be fair, it should have after having the Aussies at 128-8 at one stage...?!?!? Give the oppo some credit here, they have been I some real tight situations and have dug in and got themselves in a position which is nearly impossible to lose... I say nearly, you have to have some dream of a come back, but it won't happen... So 1-0 down at worse, level at best, and oh joy Lords next, the Aussies favourite place to play...!!!!!!!!

    A very BIG day tomorrow... #wherediditallgowrong, #fingerscrossed, #howdoyougetsmiffyout :emoticon-0140-rofl: :emoticon-0140-rofl: :emoticon-0140-rofl:

There'll will be a few walk ups available tomorrow Red. I doubt many have bought tickets in advance. I currently working my notice so could easily toss it off and rock up. But fook that. Spend a day biting my nails watching us try to bat or test the patience of these Chinese twats I'm soon to bid adieu to. Easy choice <laugh>

Is this all just about psychology? If it were a 50 over game you'd think England could give it a really good go at chasing 380 but with 90 overs we're all ****ting it. Must be more to it than just field placement.

That's the beauty of Test Cricket Oddy… If someone starts going in to 1 Day Mode then the bowlers can bowl behind their legs, out wide and not be called for doing so, they are basically stopping them from going for it.... It's those canny batters who can milk the runs without making it obvious that chase down the bigger scores... Plus the pitches are very different so it keeps the batters keen... That's why we all love Test cricket, so many variables...<ok>

Dead right Red, this is a five day old test strip and will be doing all sorts of naughtiness one would imagine.
I would love to see our boys give this a proper go though. 50/1 to win.

What does cheating have to do with whinging? Cheats are cheats and whingers are whingers. :)

P.S. Lewis has been caught cheating.

Elsewhere in the sporting news I see that Tom Brady, the man they call the GOAT of American football has agreed to a contract extension to carry on playing until he is 44...!! His rate will be increased from a mere $15m or £12.34m to a cool £23m or £18.92m a year, making it around a £480k a week in wages.
I have no problem with these ultra high wages, the New England Patriots can obviously afford it, but to be still playing NFL at his age, regardless of the money he is getting, is just remarkable... <applause><applause>
