It was indeed Smokey. The missus had it on in the kitchen, massive fan of Federer. I'm not sure it's just down to his tennis ability either. Cricket on the big telly though obviously.
I really don't know how they let the ball go in those circumstances. Astonishing pressure, especially a wide first up then a maximum second (legit) ball.
I was watching end of the tennis on computer through iPlayer whilst trying to bath the kids! Wanted Federer to win but what a match. Don't follow cricket at all, world cup still going is it?
Blasphemy Smokey . Only kidding mate we like what we like. Apparently 30 miles north of London an Englishman drove a car faster than anyone else this afternoon.
Another sport I'm not really into. I used to be in my younger days when it was about the drivers and not the cars, meant a bit more.
Greatest day of sport ever Too young for 1966 Better than the rugby final Better than super Saturday olympics Incredible
Yep by a split second and with an incredible piece of luck which added 4 runs to our score. Cricket doesn't get more exciting than that
. Roll on the Ashes Smokey. Get yourself down to Edgbaston in early August. As good a sporting theatre as it gets IMO. Beats this crash bang wallop limited overs stuff all ends up.
watch the last few overs of the highlights and then try and come back on here to say that cricket is not exciting.
I'd rather not waste my time I just don't see the appeal. Different sports appeal to different people
I cannot remember any sporting event that has come anywhere even close to the spectacle we witnessed today. In what other sport could the momentum have changed so many times in the final minutes. It was pure drama played out with an impeccable air of great sportsmanship.
