I thought that all Blue Riband sporting events were meant to be left on terrestrial tv...?? As you say Chan, wait for the long line of goody two shoes politicians trying to say how dreadful it is without actually getting off their backsides to prevent it...!! And although i do have Skey, not everyone dos or whatever station you can 'pay for view' it on...
6N isn’t on the protected list Red and this is the last year of the current deal where rights are shared between the terrestrial channels. Apparently the Welsh govt are pushing to keep it to terrestrial but got nowhere with the last govt. Whether Sir Kier’s mob have a different view remains to be seen but I fear the worst. I don’t have Sky or TNT so that will be that. Very short sighted of the sports decisions makers for a few extra quid upfront imo. As Nigel Owens regularly stated Rugby isnt Soccer. Without free to air coverage it will be to it’s long term detriment.

Well done England. France should have wrapped it up in the first half but didn't. M Smith should have wrapped it up in the 2nd half but didn't. We were lucky but we deserved something from this game and it will have done the team a lot of good.

Yeah a great win even if it was mostly viewed from behind the sofa :emoticon-0184-tmi:. I can’t see M Smith getting back in at 10 and he wasnt great at 15 either as well as missing 2 relatively easy kicks. Big Freddie Steward back at 15 for Scotland in 2 weeks with M Smith on the bench surely.

'Arsenal 100% the best team' - reaction as Arsenal lose to PSG in Champions League semis' says Arteta...

This sounds like a bloke who is justifying his position and promoting how good he is to save his job... So close but so far for the Gooners but they have the same question posed to them each and every time they come up short, IF ONLY YOU HAD A STRIKER...!!!

They might beat Liverpool this coming weekend, though saying that Arsenal have 'won' the league for the past two seasons without doing so, joking or not, night not have helped his cause. And it has left him being ridiculed by fans and the media, and even more will be coming if the newly crowned champions beat them at Anfield this coming Sunday....!!

Anyway, they are what they are, a really good football team who just seem to be missing one or two elements to turn them into winners, a striker being one of em...!!!

They need to offload Havertz. He can’t even kick the ball properly.
Good strikers are hard to find, though.

Just watching a bit of el classico and what a player Yamal is. He just dinked in a beautiful cross with the outside of his left foot and Raphinha managed to head it over from 6 yards. Barca were 0-2 down after 14 minutes but went in 4-2 up at half time. Thrilling stuff to watch.

Amazing day at the French Open yesterday: all British players that played on the day won!

Highlight has to be Norrie's defeat in 5 sets of 5th seed Medvedev.

Looks as tough a day today and unlikely to be as successful.

But Radacanu was the only British loser. Important day today, with Draper, Norrie, Boulter and Fearnley playing. We are certain to have a loser (not just from those) as a couple of our doubles contestants play each other.

Boulter out but Draper, Norrie and Fearnley through: the latter on a retirement. We'll have at least one Brit in the last 16 as Norrie meets Fearley in the next round. Boulter out of the women's but at least she got to the 2nd round this year. With Kartal also going out we have no one in the last 32 of the Women's Singles.

Plenty of Doubles interest.

Draper should go through today to the last 8. Norrie has a tougher tie as he takes on the 6th seed Djokovic. But the 5th seed is Draper so that puts the tie in perspective. Who would you fancy to win if Draper played Norrie?

5 UK interests in Double games today.

Looking back at how England dismantled a huge run chase makes me wonder if the old adage of winning the toss and batting first nine times out of ten will now alter, as they made it look a stroll in the Headingly park yesterday. I suppose the only thing against it is what state the pitches around the cricketing world being in on day 5, as that helped massively yesterday...

Thrilling match indeed, brilliant from England and another old cricketing adage that catches win matches was also telling. When the Indians did finally hold onto a catch (Brook out for 0 late on day 2) Bumrah had over stepped. Brook goes onto to make superb 99 at around a run a ball on day 3. Bumrah really is different gravy. Sent a couple of unplayable deliveries whizzing past Duckett’s edge and off stump early on day 5. Bumrah is apparently being rested for the next test so no reason why England can’t go 2 up at Edgbaston.

The 'bury your head in the sand' way that the England cricket seem to do when they get thrashed, and there is no other way of describing it, by a team who play more like an English team than them is quite embarrassing. Not only did the Indian bowlers bowl a more consistent line than ours, but the batters left balls and played straighter than our batters too. Their fielding improved no end from the first Test and ours has taken a backward step.

Early days, we can still turn things around, but there are players in this current England team that need to be dropped, replaced or whatever they call it nowadays for being plain and simply rubbish...!!
