At least if we dispatch them in the semis, with the 2nd leg at Loftus Road, we don't have to contend with them in the final at Wembley. I think over two games they would beat Derby.
I have a 4 day Easter weekend away from the office so following the games involving our playoff rivals. I see Huddersfield scored an early goal home to Brighton (1-0 up) and Wigan are still 0-0 home to Reading. I really would prefer us to play Reading in a home & away, rather than Wigan, to at least make it to Wembley, where anything is possible. Bournemouth's playoff push is coming unstuck 0-1 at home to Sheff Wed. Blackpool v Burnley is streamed later on Bet365, as is our early ko match tomorrow at Leicester. BBC Radio 5 live summariser Jimmy Armfield at DW Stadium "Owner Dave Whelan has told me personally is that the big aim is the Premier League. The manager has been able to make five changes today and there aren't many squads that can do that. They are equipped for it, they've played 55 matches this season and that is more than any other club. "They need to get back to the Premier League and the play-offs is a must. The Reading players know this is absolutely crucial, if they don't win today they'll be six points behind Wigan and the Reading players look up for it."
Not much happening at the moment only the 2 goals already mentioned in Championship....would be content if scores stay as they are for the resrt of the afternoon!!
My tip for 6th is Blackburn and have thught for a few weeks they will make it but I fear them and rate them as a team coming into form.
Unless we can overhaul Derby, Wigan could well be our dance partner for the semis? At least if we dispatch them in a home & away, with the 2nd leg at Loftus Road, we won't have to face them at Wembley, their alternative home ground. In true R's fashion, right now Brighton & Bournemouth are not taking advantage of Reading's slip up.
They keep saying this on Sky, but on BBC sport it has Reading and Brighton equal 6th on the same goal difference of +11. It keeps Reading in 6th. Mind you Wigan have scored another now so I presume Reading will definitely slip below Brighton now!
