How on earth Henderson wasn’t sent off but I think the occasion got to the officials. Nobody wants 10 v 11. In the end it was just written in the stars Palace would win and TBF that goal was worthy of winning any game.
At the very least a free kick and a yellow. Is deliberate handball by a keeper any worse than a defender dragging an attacker down who is past him?

What a joke the winners of this final tonight go into the Champions League when they’re both in the bottom five of the Premier League. It’s been distinctly average so far
Awful game between two sides that wouldn't look out of place in the lower reaches of the Championship... BUT, I'm all for the winners of the tournament being promoted to the Champions League for next season. I'd also say the winners of the FA Cup and League Cup should also get a spot rather than gifting those spots to the Premier League also-rans.... Winning things should be rewarded. Coming 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th place should mean nothing.
I’m old school. The European Cup was for League Winners. The ECWC was for domestic cup winners. The Fairs Cup was for also rans in the domestic leagues. That’s what they were and they were sufficient for European inter club football. While I’m on it internationals were only played for WC and latterly European Championships qualifiers and the tournaments plus home internationals.
Certainly wouldn't argue against reverting back to the old school competitions and formats. The European "league" competitions are just poor tournaments designed for money making. Give me old fashioned knock out football every time.
