Amazing night. Probably one of those that sealed my love affair with Charlton. I remember going back to Erith after the game and trying to sleep after the excitement, and then in the midst of a typically silent night, a car with Charlton fans beeping the hooter screaming past the house.
At a Bromley Addicks meeting around 18 months ago, Mortimer said Leaburn was the best striker he had played with.
I think Morts must have had a few before turning up.
2 play-off defeats against Charlton, I imagine we're not very popular over there.
