About 4 years ago I was walking down the road from Elf towers and coming towards me were a family and a lovely looking pooch.
We stopped and I stroked the dog, I then looked up to pass comment and it was Les Berry
. I should have made a comment but he must get hassled all the time!
I didn't dislike Slade.
Immediately he saw what a car crash we were.

I think he played for a sacking.
Gary Poole... got a knee injury playing for our reserves and never played pro football again … that's the Charlton Medical Department for you!
