Ot ****!

I used to have mine on a lead (used to live near a busy road but not anymore), only took them in the back garden though used to have 2 but had to have my other one put down due to kidney probs, spent an absolute fortune (No pet ins <doh> - but money wasnt an issue, just wanted her right) on her but couldnt get her right, she was only 3 yrs old so very sad. She was a cool cat too.

Got her ashes on the fireplace (that'll make Johnsons baby shudder <laugh>)

I've got a Persian (only 1 yr old) with kidney problems, she has to have a special diet, which is a challenge with 3 of them in the house.

I have seen that ad, and it is funny. I just really don't like cats at all. One of our neighbours has a couple - one keeps itself to itself, the other one kills birds like there's no tomorrow. Really upsetting seeing it take one of a pair of wood pigeons who've visited our garden for months, the same with a female blackbird. Recently it's catching and appears to be eating butterflies and climbed to the top of our fir tree and wrecked a nest which we'd watched being built for a week. A real evil little so and so.

That does sound like it as a killer instinct in it which is sad

Mine doest kill anything, she just watches the birds and doesnt bother them, although its natural for them too im really glad she doesnt

She does play with spiders though (doesnt kill them, nudges them then stares at them) although I save them if I spot them before her

It is a challenge mate, is it that KD hills stuff? Quite expensive stuff as well

She was on some of that (and tablets) before we had to have her put down

I must say though tobes alot of cats can live with kidney problems but ours was really bad. Like I say spent alot on her, she improved a bit then bk into the vets, improved a little for a few weeks, bk to the vets (where she satyed in for ops and fluids etc) and then basically she just collapsed. She was never the healthiest

But like I say ive read alot about cats living with these probs

It's called Royal Canin mate & yeah it's not cheap.

But she's been fine since she went onto it <ok>

Yeah it's got a real killer instinct which is unusual - all the cats round about just like basking in the sun in our garden but this one is different, it even jumps onto the bird table and sits waiting!

Have you actually seen it kill them?

As often our cats bring back animals alive & unharmed & plonk them in the conservatory! The big one regularly brings back rabbits & just sits there next to them. The rabbits / birds **** themselves & occasionally die of fright, but more often than not we get to them first, catch them & release them.

We asked the vet about it & she said that apparently cats sometimes do it, as they want company!

I keep a check on Pets at home website for our dog food and stock up [from the actual shop not online] when there's offers on - which is very frequently.

Oh yes.

Have never managed to get out there in time but as soon as I see the stalking position I rattle the door handle and it scarpers.

Buy a cat scarer JB, get a sonic one that'll keep it out of your garden & away from your bird table.
