German national football team is very well organized ,they are powerful and they certainly dont lose their scoring chances. So,they are very good. Question is :"Why dont i like them?" Because they got it all and they are so anti-symphatic as they couuld be. If im honest i have always hated them since 1974 when they robbed world championship from much better Holland. England on otherhand are over-hyped and some of their players (Ashley Young) unbearable but they are much more symphatec because they seem blow their own chances succsess or if they do it themselves maybe some referee does it. England are not as good as some peoples think they are but they are good enough for some succsess like Greece done 2004 or Denmark 1992 or even that Germanys wonder runner up in Fifa 2002 when they were Kahnfantastic.......

This!! It is a national past-time for some(usually those that tend to lean left politically) to hate their own country!!

You obviously live in the past talking about the German team not being likeable. A very different generation to 1974 and bound to be joint favorites for the title along with Spain and Netherlands.

England for me all the way. Due to family I keep an eye out for Wales and Armenia...but mainly born and bought up in England so there you go. Now seriously looking forward to June 11th...England vs France hopefully in an English pub in Paris. Fun times.

Come on Butthuber... you've got me interested. Give us your non-stereotypical case for the modern German team. A long series of great manager/coaches maybe? Why is it that players like Klose really kick arse when they play for their country? I wish ours would do that playing for England!

I suppose by default is has to be england as that where i was born, raised and lived till a few years ago...
used to a passionate England fan and was always proud to say i was a proud englishman. Sadly as the years have gone on and especially the last 10 or so, i find it harder to say that. especially in relation to my football team.
I love my country, but really do feel for those that live there !!
    Keep the faith..

Well to start with, I also hated some of the German international football being well organized, disciplined but not playing attractive football at all. That in my opinion changed very much in 2006 with Klinsmann being the coach and Löw being his assistant. Especially Löw (who followed Klinsmann after 2006) introduced a very different style of playing. He is much more in favor playing one touch football (like Spain), got rid of the old players such as Frings and Ballack and brought in all these talanted young guns such as Götze, Müller etc. - one of the youngest German national teams ever. I still believe that Spain is top favorite for the title but do also see a very good chance that Germany will win first title after 96.

Quite honestly only QPR has got my desire but June is definetely booked for football.

It's not about disliking them because they play like they use to play. It's because they are anti-symphatic and just cant beare them. Of course they are great team and one of the favourites in euro 2012 but not just my cup of tea. I dont like barca either even they are clearly the most skillfull team in the world. Why you always have to like or support some team because its good and unwinnable? For me it is more enjoyable to support team i've always support no matter if they dont win all their matches. Im not a gloryhunter and i cant understand why somebody is changing his favourite team just because the "new ones" look more succesful and skillfull........It is all about loyality to me and i should know because i have support my favourite local icehockey team Ässät (havent win anything since 1978) ,Finland national footballteam (never in major tournament) ,QPR and England national football team.
