Aye mate, that just about sums him up. Back to the op, my favourite is Billy Connelly. 30 years in in the business & still keep coming up with new material. Saw him back in the 80's at Barrowlands, Glasgow, ****ing brilliant gig. I used to really enjoy Frankie Boyle when he was on Mock The Week & somebody bought me a dvd of hive at some live gig in London. Everything he did on there he'd done on mock the week, virtually word for word. Very disappointing.
Most of them lot on Mock the Week pull that ****. Not as bad as Peter Kay releasing multiple DVDs containing the same jokes but still a piss take.
Isn't it tragic when comedians stop being funny ....... The Paul Whitehouse adverts are so bad I feel ashamed for him.
Following on again on the comedy theme, Who do you hate and Why? There's a few I don't like, Mickey Flanagan (cheeky unfunny cockney ****), John Bishop (boring Scouse), Kevin Bridges (laughs at his own jokes) Frankie Boyle (alright on tv ****e in stand up) But I can not STAND Peter Kay. I get it's family fun but his jokes had been doing the Social clubs for years before he became famous. His Bullseye routine is stolen from Frank Skinner. Nostalgia comedy is weak comedy, even the most unfunny **** on the planet can get a laugh by reminiscing. His DVD releases all contain the same jokes. Just think the bloke is an absolute fraud. Also, he released two further abominations onto our tv screens, Dave Spikey and Paddy McGuinness.

It is mate. Started a thread on it so I'm not pumping negativity onto a positive thread. The Paul Whitehouse ads make me cringe.
Steven Hawkins Everything I hate about stand up comedians .......... never stands up, has a boring monotonous voice and always on about his black hole or summat I know he makes some people laugh but I just don't get it, better than Peter Kay though
I find Hawkins comedy to be quite pretentious and condescending which really doesn't work with that monotone accent.
I can recall one time at the now long defunct Castle's nightclub in Stanley. My mate & I were walking along the Rotary Way by pass & this big car pulls up. The driver dropped the window & asked if we knew where Castles was. Now unless you knew it, you couldn't really direct anybody there because it was so tucked out of the way. Anyhow, the back window drops & Bernard Manning poked his heed out & told us if we got in & directed them he's give us free tickets which he did. Anyway, on the bill that night was an up & coming Chubby Brown. He done his bit to raucous applause & then Bernard came on. He did his thing which was a bit **** & some heckler in the crowd shouted "how ya fat ****. ****ing Chubby's better than you." To which Manning replied, "couldn't give a **** mate, as long as the cheques aren't mixed up." .
My faves are mostly called Bill: Billy Connolly Bill Murray Bill Bailey Bill Hicks Harry Hill (sounds like Bill) Ronnie Barker Eddie Izzard ...to name a few one-trick ponies, kop-outs and/or not so funny anymore Peter Kay (his book is absolute garbage, so 'me, me, me aren't I so funny'. I last about 6 or 7 pages, then chucked it in the bin. it's like the Dan Brown of comedians. Frankie Boyle - shocking, basically. Eddie Murphy - sell out Adam Sandler - sell out Steve Martin - sell out Frank Skinner -saw him live 20 years ago and he was v. funny. how times change.
I've always gone for the politically minded comedians or those with something to say like Jim Jeffries, Izzard, Hicks, Pryor and George Carlin
How can you not like Micky ? On Gordon Ramsay "Gordon Ramsay is so aggressive. I would struggle to work with this bloke. It would not be long before I was saying, 'Gordon, we're doin' a bit o' dinner mate. If it all goes tits up I'll get us a bargain bucket.'"
That skinny bong eyed ****er Russel something I think? And I ****ing hate Michael floppy haired ****er McIntyre and that scouse **** with the teeth John Bishop!
