IMO there are so many issues 1. It's mind altering, therefore drink and driving type issues are huge 2. It's status allows dealers to push deadly crap on people and the fact is the lesser stuff is just thier in 3. Basically if people really want to allow growing but not sale 4 if there are good medical causes the stuff should be applied ASAP there no difference between that and heroin/morphine/codeine 5. Don't care what you say drink and nicotine make productive drones, hash makes useless lazy ones who hang round not606 all day
they will never be able to tax the ****er, so sadly it will never be legal or decriminalized. i do agree with the suggestion you should be allowed to grow your own though, you can make your own wine/beer etc. as long as its for personnel use ie don't take over a ****ing loft or in some cases a whole house to grow them for profit lol
please tell me you are taking the piss lol drink and nicotine make productive drones, jesus fecking christ!
Think he's getting at the fact nicotine is a stimulant... can't really say that about drink as it's a depressant. It makes people appear more outgoing and motivated due to it lowering their inhibitions and making them feel confident by suppressing that part of the brain. It's debilitating. But for all the arguments about the use of nicotine as a stimulant, the time taken for smoke breaks surely cancels out any benefits of the drug in the work place.
Be specific, you want me to go to site map, contact us or what? Oh and I worded it to be nuetral on medical benefits... Why cos I happen to think there no research done on harmful effects of just smoking whatever just for the lungs but I'm confident there are many conditions the active effect of has will help therefore I say make that work ASAP It's like these e cigarettes. No fn way anyone should be thinking it's totally safe
If people want to grow a few plants at home and smoke their harvest, who's to care? If someone's got a warehouse full of lamps and is spraying their crop with carcinogenic pesticide (which they do btw...) then that's quite another thing imo.
The damage done every weekend by drink in the uk is well known but come Monday everyone is back at work..... It's functional alcoholics that keep the wheels of commerce turning
Ok from that perspective I see your point on alcohol, yes it's a massive part of the Western economy and without alcohol sales the government/system would see a huge gap in their finances. But I don't think we should confuse weekend bing drinking with alcoholism here, bingeing is another kind of problem/disorder. No drug is totally safe as they can be and are unpredictable and effect different people in a different way. But it's also down to the individual's specific use of a substance too. Caffeine is seen as harmless... hence Starbucks, Costa, Nero etc and their friendly marketing but enough of it can lead to serious heart conditions, cause palpitations, ruin your teeth and more.
i know someone who we are not sure if it is the cola addiction or bottle of vodka that caused HER heartattack. the doctor was told about the masses or cola to put it down to caffeine and sugar but we think the bottle of vodka far far far too regularly is really playing a big part. the only dope related issues i know are lazy bartards.. one guy we know is down in hackney and could be a dj but he's too stoned to bother. the thing is its not "wide spread" as in you go in and say i feel X and oh i love a good bong party to the doc so the effects are unknown to the masses. all we know is those who use say its fine and i certinly don't beleive the people on the opposite side on about schizophrenia and such cos i don't see masses of those running about and nobody i know has seen anying remote that way... just the usual general not bothered to get up stuff thats all i know... so if someone wants to grow a pot or two fine... imo
Bollocks in short mate. Drink has absolutely shattered lives. Driving stoned is the same as driving drunk, don't do it, it aint a reason to ban drinking is it? So don't apply it to the weed debate then either. As for the idea hash weed ect makes people lazy. Yes when they smoke it, most of us don't smoke it all day from when we get up till we go to bed. I work a very technical and physically demanding job. It's when I am not working that I may partake, that makes me a criminal right now, which is bollocks. People who do nothing all day will do so even if they dont smoke. #flawedargument Most morbidly obese people are not weed smokers I would imagine
Just look around when you're next out in any city people are absolutely addicted to caffeine and sugar in all its forms, coffees, soft drinks, energy drinks. Pot does weird things to people, known a few who smoked it. Definitely it reduces activity in people but they would say they are focusing on other stuff instead. Having said that I know some dudes who use it and are regularly in the gym. It can cause psychological issues, make people a bit para and alter their perception of reality, but I'd say that came more from heavy, consistent use over casual. I think if we just opened up that side of culture / society so that people could talk to a doctor about drug use without fear of judgement or punishment it would in turn make us more honest and open. Better than being terrified of things all the time.
Do View attachment 31789 with that. Again, it's consistent heavy use - as with any drug - when you see problems start to develop. No harm at all in recreational, casual use of it. Think the idea of the lazy, do nothing, don't care stoner is a stereotype/cliche tbh.
Ulitmately, Govt's have no right to dictate to people what they choose to ingest. Their duty is to educate, and ensure that people are making decisions in possession of the facts. Beyond that their remit stops as far as I'm concerned.
View attachment 31790 And certainly not a plant that grows naturally in the earth (man made substances I can see more of a role for a government or advisory body to inform and protect but it's still ultimately up to the individual, or should be).
