I really do think that the US have been using Kiev to try goad the Russians into moving into Eastern Ukraine to protect people from obvious attacks on civilians. I think Putin has not acted purely because the west want him to because it is a huge propaganda win for the US if Putin moves in there.

I've been called a Russia paid troll about 100 times this week alone :D Where's my Rubles Putin?

Putin grilled in France by media, Fox CNN style

Comes off far better than Cameron and Obama who only face tailored questions with prepared answers

The use of incendiary bombs – designed to start fires using materials such as napalm, white phosphorus or other dangerous chemicals – is strictly prohibited by the UN

    Kiev dropping white phosphorus Slavyansk.

France is pressing ahead with the sale of two 'Mistral class' warships to Russia worth about £1bn.

One of the ships is called 'Sevastopol' <doh>

Makes sense, Sevastopol was a Russian naval base in Crimea before it became part of the Russian federation. The ships are probably for that fleet.

Can't deny right now the people of Crimea are far better off atm, not having artillery rockets and white phosphorous dropped on them willy nilly
