Thinking about this one, why do you ask?
I just know there's a plant there as well as Filton. Fred Bassett on ja606 works for them [not sure which plant though], wondered if you could get a transfer that's all.

Cheers Billy
I've visited Broughton several times this year, and on the whole, the atmos up there is a LOT more relaxed than it is at Filton.

I know of Fred.
Nah, it's going to be a clean break for me - I need a new challenge. I've been here almost 10 years and stagnation started to sink in a while back.
Thanks for the the thought though mate![]()

Sorry to hear that mate. It seems you could move across into IT though or business analyst, or data analysis with some minor studying possibly, reporting ect possibly if you add sql to the skill set, not rocket science given the excel VB skills.
I'm out of contract here in Finland and having a **** of a time trying to land a new one, this country is still heavily industrial and agricultural so not a million IT jobs going atm here
Thankfully she has a permanent job!
How is living in Finland?
Im wanting to spread my wings and see loads of places. Been on loads of really good hols and to interesting places but just thinking I want to see more! Never had the bug for traveling this bad tbh
Not great timing though as new baby and recovering from broken leg
How is it in Finland?

What I like most I think is that they haven't ripped up every tree and rock and built massive housing estates, you dont see that **** here like in Ireland and the UKIt's going well, work thing apart.

Well worth a trip here summer or winterWhat I like most I think is that they haven't ripped up every tree and rock and built massive housing estates, you dont see that **** here like in Ireland and the UK

. Im not keen on cities, dont like everything you can see all being man made and built upWell you have a skill, thats the main thing and not to mention the experience you gathered here doing whatever role it was you were doing
You'll find something, do it soon so you havent got it hanging over you over Christmas![]()
But don't jump before the bastards give you your redundancy. That happened to a manager I worked with. He had a six month notice period, 23 years service. Told he was being made redundant in August, thought he had till Feb to find a job, found one in another TOC in November - then told there was a re-org and that he couldn't now leave on redundancy. Expected him to put in his notice anyway, but he stayed just to spite them - and eventually got his £80k severance 18 months later. Had to wait a year for another job, but was as happy as **** having paid off his mortgage, put his son through uni and was working on a farm last I spoke to him!
Council tried to do something similar with my sister a couple of years ago too (31 years service). Loads of HR "Solutions" providers practically pushing large companies and organisations to do it for the last 6/7 years, and it's only going to get worse. Their argument is to re-org on 'values and behaviours', then tell you that youngsters on zero-hour contracts with no employment rights will do your job at a third of the cost to the company. So ****ing screw them and get EVERY penny you can out of them - they're budgeting that some will do their dirty work for them. Don't let it be you.
Good luck fella.

You should send you CV to companies twice. One with your real age and another with a false younger age (obviously different name too). If you onyl receive one interview then you can sue them under age discrimination #newbusinessidea
It's been done before but using race that.
2 identical CV's sent, no thank you Mr Patel, come on down Mr Smith....![]()

Yeah, that's where the thought came from
There's not been much happen around age since the age discrimination laws were introduced. Its a very difficult area to prove (in recruiting terms)
